I Found You

Chapter 16

The next day we all are at the Dalhousie tour, Will even shows each of us where our classes will most likely be based on what we plan to major in, except Jordan.

After the tour Jordan and I take a walk around the outside of the school. At the back of the school there is a pond with hundreds of lily pads. On the other side of the pond there are woods that look like they go on forever and are thick with trees. On one side of the pond is a bridge, on the other side of the bridge is a path the leads into the wood. Jordan notices me staring, "It's a hiking trail." Jordan says. "That trail forks into five others with different levels of difficulty." Maybe that's why Will didn't show him where his classes would be, he already knows his why around Dalhousie. Just as I'm about to ask Jordan if he wants to go his phone rings.

"That was Will we got to meet him and the others at the front of the school, lunch is ready," Jordan says when he gets off the phone. When we get back to the house, lunch is on the table. Only three days left in Halifax. We leave bright and early Sunday morning. My first couple of days here, all I wanted to do was go back home. Now I don't want to leave. I love this family, I love mine too but, my family is very clean cut and kind of boring. Jordan's family is almost the opposite. My mom would kill me and Lex if we had a water balloon fight in the house. Laura not only allowed it she joined in.

After lunch we all decide to sit in the backyard. Another thing I'm going to miss about Halifax, it is currently really warm. It's so cold back home. We are all talking in the backyard when Allison and Maddie show up. "Aunty Dani, look I got a new dolly" Maddie says and shoves her doll in Dani's face. "Awe she's very pretty Maddie. What did you name her?" Dani asks. "Aunty Dani," Maddie says with a smile. Seeing this family with Maddie is so cute all of them love her so much. Maddie runs to Laura "Hi Nana." Maddie says wrapping her small arms around Laura's neck. "What are you suppose to tell Nana Maddie," Allison says. Maddie whispers something into Laura's ear and Laura starts crying. "What's wrong mom?" Jordan says as he rushes to his mom said. Oh no what's going on. Why did they give her bad news in front of everyone? Laura pulls herself together to tell us. "Maddie said she's going to be a big sister." And then she starts crying again. This time Dani does to, and she gets up to hug Allison. Then we all celebrate. We are all talking about baby names. "If you have a boy, Jordan is a great name" Jordan jokes. "Or you could go with Logan it works for a boy or a girl" I join in on the baby name fun. "Logan would work." Allison jokes and sticks her tongue out at Jordan.

Laura and John tell us they are going to spend the night at Will and Allison's and Mike and Alex won't be home either. Dani takes that as her cue to get to be alone with Jade. Lacy and Brad go off alone too. Me and Jordan go into his old room in the house. There is still a bed and some other things he didn't take with him. We sit on his bed. "If we had a baby what would we name him or her?" He asks and I almost choke on air. "What?" I ask nervously I am not ready for a baby. I haven't even thought about when I would want kids. I want kids someday but I have only ever thought about school nothing beyond that. "I mean someday after we get married and when your done school of course, maybe after you're already a surgeon," Jordan says. Oh, thank god. "Well I always thought what my mom did with me and Lex us cool, you know the first letter if she had a boy his name would have been Liam. Lex and I have the same initials LPH. Logan Penelope Hills and Lexus Patricia Hills. A boy would have been the same. Liam Patrick Hills." I tell him. It's the one and the only thing I like about my name. "I like that but what letter would we pick? How did your mom and dad land on L?" Jordan asks. "They didn't pick L per se. They thought I was a boy and fell in love with the name Logan, then when I was born the decide it was still the perfect name." I tell him. "So, I guess we will pick a name that we like and go from there," Jordan says

The rest of the night me and Jordan talk about baby names. I fall asleep thinking about my future with Jordan and kids. I think about Christmases with both our families and all of our sibling's kids playing together. Lex always said she wanted a big family and the thought used to make me cringe. Now thinking about it with Jordan as my husband nothing could be better.

When I wake up, Laura and John still aren't home yet. Good thing they would have killed us all. I go down to the kitchen to get food. Lacy is already there. "I need to talk to you." She says and we walk outside to make sure no one hears us. "What's up?" I ask. "I'm not sure about my feeling for Brad anymore, I didn't even notice until last night when we decided to umm well you know." Lacy starts. What! She realized she didn't have feelings for Brad while they were having sex, or was it before or after? "Before, during, or after?" I have to know. "During and after, mostly after," Lacy admits looking a little ashamed. "I didn't notice I was losing feeling for him at all, then after we did it, I realized there was nothing there anymore. And I realized something else. I kind of started to like Jordan's brother." "Which one?" I ask nervously. "Mike, me and him are alike in a lot of ways I think. I'm also going into pollical science." I really don't know what to say. I don't want to see Brad get hurt, but staying with him just because she doesn't want to hurt him is wrong too. I need Lex's help

By the time everyone else is up, and Mike and Alex get home, me and Lacy have moved on to talking about our soon to be apartment. Dani's just as excited as we are and tells up that every time her family comes up to visit that she is staying with us. "Hey next year we will have a party place!" Alex says. "Why can't you party here?" Jade asks. They have a huge house all to themselves this would be a way better place to have a party than our small apartment. "Will checks in on us too much, if we had a party our mom and dad would kick us out. They already warned us before they moved." Alex says.

We all talk about college and life. Every time I look at Lacy, she's looking at Mike. Then I realize Brad doesn't look at her the same way anymore either. Maybe they have been growing apart for a while and neither of them noticed. I hope I'm right. Me and Brad have become friends and I don't want to see him get hurt.

Laura and John get home around 3:00. John tells us that Laura and Allison dragged him and Will to every baby store in the mall. "Girls and babies." He says with a sigh and shakes his head earning him a playful slap from Laura. Laura looks at Mike and Alex. "When are you boys going to settle down and have kids? Will and Allison started dating in grade 8, were engaged right out of high school, married right out of college, both Jordan and Logan, and Jade and Dani are in a serious relationship and neither of you has ever had a real relationship yet." Both Mike and Alex turn beat red and are speechless. Which makes the rest of us laugh.

I can't believe Will and Allison started dating when they were only 13. If Jordan asked me to marry him today, I would say yes. I love him more than anything. I'm off in thought starring at Jordan thinking of the possibility of me and him getting married. I don't even notice that people were talking to me. Until Jordan taps me on the shoulder.

"Are you coming?" Jordan asks. "Where?" I ask I have no clue what everyone was talking about. "Laser tag? You weren't listening?" He says. "Sorry I was just thinking about stuff, but yes I'm coming," I say.

Laser tag is such fun. I'm usually not into games that involve me running around but I would definitely be coming back here once we move here. Halifax has a lot more to do than my small home town. I don't think I'll ever get bored living here.

When we get back to the house, I decided to call Lex. "Hey Logan, how's Halifax?" Lex says into the phone, but before I can answer her, I hear Alexis in the background "Where did you hiding the chips" Her stupid voice is loud even over the phone. I try to ignore the fact that she's hanging out with Alexis again and tell her all about the trip so far. "I can't wait to see your new apartment but I got to go I'll call you later." She says and hangs up.

I can't believe she forgave Alexis after everything that happened. I mean she says she's over Ben and doesn't take what he does. But I would never be friends with Lacy or Jade if they ever did something like that to me. Hopefully, this time around Lex is careful and doesn't trust Alexis to much.

The rest of the trip goes amazing we spend a day with Tyler and Dylan, and a night at Will's house babysitting Maddie. This trip started out so bad but by the end, it turned into the best spring break of my life. The Davis family is literally the best, Halifax is amazing. Even though I'm going to miss my family, I can't wait to live here.

I think Jade was right College will be amazing.
