I Found You

Chapter 6

            It feels like I just fell asleep when Dani comes down. "Hey Jordan, wake up mom and dad will kill us if they catch you down here." She says as she shakes him awake. He groans while he gets up and walks upstairs and Dani crawls in down beside me. "What time is it," I asked half asleep. "5:00 I wanted to make sure I came down before my parents got up, you can go back to sleep."

Around 8:00 I wake up again this time for the day. I go upstairs without waking up Dani I have no idea if she went to bed before she came downstairs or not. I walk into the living room where Jordan is with his coffee and homework. "Good morning," I say to get his attention. "Good morning baby, hey do you want to meet my twin brothers?" "Are they here?" I ask I didn't see them when we got here yesterday. "No, they are face timing me to take me or a tour of Dalhousie, interested?" I nod and a few seconds later his phone rings, His brothers, Mike and Alex show us around the school, apparently, Jordan already knows his way around he set this up for me as an early Christmas gift. It is the sweetest thing in the world.

When I get home, I tell Lex about my amazing gift and about Jordan telling me he loves me. Then she reminds me that he is leaving in 10 days. He's only leaving for a week but it's going to feel like a lifetime. I walk to my room to text Jade and Lacy and tell them about my amazing night. Jade knows about me and Jordan spending the night together apparently while me and him were in the basement Dani stunk into Jade bedroom, Jade's parents don't let them have sleepover alone. Jade also knows that Jordan loves me apparently, he told Dani a while ago and Dani told her but made her promise not to say anything to me until Jordan told me himself. Lacy says she happy for me but something about her is off. Once we are off the phone, I text her *Is everything okay? * *Yeah family drama that's all. * I invite her over to talk but she declines. I don't get it she tells me everything. I was there when her dad left, like literally at her house when her dad came home told her mom he had been sleeping with her sister, packed his bags, and moved out. What could be worse than that?

The next 10 days go by so fast, and just like that Jordan is gone to Halifax. To make things worse Lex started dating Jake, a boy from my math class he has a man bun, but unlike Ben, Jake can read. He is pretty smart other than his choice in hairstyles. With Jordan being gone means Dani's gone too so I guess Jades in the same boat as me.

Christmas day comes and goes pretty uneventful other than face timing with Jordan. We made plans to exchange gifts when he gets back even though he already gave me one that he said was an early Christmas gift, he now says it doesn't count. Then before I know he's back.

On the 29th we exchange gifts, I got him a sweater and a new PS4 controller and he got me a beautiful necklace and a bottle of perfume that smells like heaven. Then we spend the rest of the day in his room while he tells me about his trip. Before I leave, I remind him that his 18th birthday is in a few days. He finally agrees that Dani can bake him a cake and everyone can come over to watch a movie. It's not much but at least I got him to agree to let me do something for his birthday.

When I get home, I call Lacy to check in I have only texted her since she told me she was having family drama and I also want to tell her about Jordan's birthday party. She answers on the first ring I tell her about the party not party for Jordan and ask her how she's been. She finally tells me, "My dad doesn't want to help pay for college because he is helping my pay for Meghan's college next year" Meghan is Lacy's cousin from her Aunt's first marriage the one she was still in when she started sleeping with Lacy's dad. "I wouldn't care if I was for Lizzy but Meghan's not even his daughter." Lizzy is Lacy half-sister/cousin. I feel bad for Lacys but I know her she's smart she could get a scholarship, so that's what I suggest. After we talk for almost two hours, she sounds happier so we get off the phone. It's almost 11 so I decide to take a shower and go to bed.
