I Found You

Chapter 15

I sit staring at them for a few moments. "It's okay Logan, we can figure it out," Jade said smiling at me. Thank god I have good friends. I don't know what I'm going to do without a car. I haven't used mine that much lately because Jordan has been driving me to and from school. However, the thought of not having one scares the crap out of me.

By the time we make it make to the house me possibly not having a car next year has vanished. We all are just happy that we have an apartment saved for us for September 1st. Jade can't wait to tell Dani all about the apartment. Personally I can't wait to tell Lex. Lex and I have become so close lately. I going to miss her so much next year. When this year started, I wanted to get away from her now the thought of not seeing her makes me cry, like actually cry.

"What's wrong baby?" Jordan asks. "I'm going to miss Lex next year" I say through the tears. He pulls me in close and kisses my forehead. I'm unbelievably in love with this man. Laura walks in and I try to wipe my eyes so she doesn't see me cry but I'm not fast enough. "Oh no sweetie what's wrong I thought you got the apartment." "We did, I'm just going to miss Lex next year," I tell her, no point in hiding my tears now.

Once Laura knows, the whole house knows. It's kind of embarrassing to have the whole family and my friends, know that I'm crying over missing my sister. Everyone hugs me which makes me cry harder. Then John comes home. He tells everyone that he brought dinner and everyone moves from me to the dining room. This is the first time I have ever seen this family eat take out. Laura usually makes all the meals. She loves being a mom.

After dinner we got to the basement to watch a horror movie. I love horror movies, but movies about killer dolls, not my favorite. Once the movie is over, I can't sleep I'm so scared. I didn't sleep last night, Jordan and I stayed up all night talking. Now I'm up alone in a dark basement, I scared to death that a doll is going to pop out with a knife. I'm wrapped up in a blanket, I'm even too scared to put on another movie.

Just as my nerves start to calm. I see something move out of the corner of my eye. I look and all I see is a dark shadow about two feet tall. I scream like I have never screamed before, and then the shadow screams back. Turns out the shadow is Dani she woke up because she had to pee. Between the two of us screaming we wake up everyone else. "Why are you guys screaming like maniacs?" Mike or Alex says. Me and Dani try to tell everyone what had happened but we end up laughing through the whole story.

Once everyone is filled in, they all go back to sleep except Jordan. He puts on a movie about penguins, to take my mind of the killer doll. Jordan sits beside me and puts his hand on my back, and slowly rubs my back calming me down. I don't even make it halfway through the movie before I fall asleep.

"Logan wake up" Dani whispers as she shakes me. I didn't get enough sleep. "Come on I want to prank my brothers and Brad" she says then moves on to wake up Lacy and Jade. Once we are all in the kitchen, she tells us the plan. "So, me and my mom got some water balloons yesterday, we are going to fill them all up, then I'm going to wake up my mom and we are going to attack they boys" "Wait, did I hear you right your mom is going to help us," Lacy asks, Dani nods. Lacy turns to look at me and Jade. "You guys are so lucky to get to marry in this family." We all laugh then start on the water balloons.

It takes us nearly an hour to fill the balloons. We get Laura and head downstairs and start throwing balloons. Brad is the first hit followed by Mike. Unfortunately, not all the balloons break when we throw them giving the boys a chance to get us. By the time all the balloons are broken, all of us including Laura are soaked, and laughing hysterically. "Once everyone is changed, then I'll make breakfast," Laura says and we all head upstairs.
