I Found You

Chapter 5

        *December*

     When I wake up my room is so cold. The first day of December came with the first snow. When I look at my phone, I have a million text messages from Jade and Lacy, they both got their letters from Dalhousie. I run to the mailbox I got mine to. We promised we would open out letters together. Thank god we don't have school today. I text my mom to tell her I'll be at Lacy's and I jump in my car still in my p.j's and without my coat. I have been waiting for this day my whole life. When I get to Lacys I text Jordan to let him now I got my Dalhousie letter. He knows me Jade and Lacy planned to open them together, we were supposed to hang out today but that is going to be postponed. He is also applying to Dalhousie and every other school in Halifax, but he didn't apply for early admission. "Jade better hurry up I need to know if I got in," Lacy says well pacing across her living room. "You have nothing to worry about. Have you talked to Brad; did he get his letter from Western?" Me and Brad are both taking pre-med which has given us lots to talk about. I surprise Lacy didn't take pre-med she is smart enough. Before she answers me Jade rushes through the door. "Finally, we can open our letters," Lacy says. We count to 3 and rip our letters open. My whole life has been leading up to this moment; I got in! I did it! I got into my dream university. So did Jade and Lacy. This day is perfect.

"Now we can start apartment hunting!" Jade says. We plan on all living together off-campus. "And if we are ever to broke to afford rent, we will just move in with Jordan" Lacy jokes. Jordan is going to move in with hid two brothers in their family's house. "Guys, this is amazing! Our life is going just as planned." I say with a smile. I kind of feel bad for Jade and Lacy, Brad is staying in Ontario to go to college, and Dani has another year before she finishes high school. Although today is our day we got into university we need to celebrate. "Brad got into Western!" Lacy says with just as much excitement as she had telling us she got into Dalhousie. I hate that I have to wait until May to find out if Jordan is going to college with me or somewhere else. Luckily, I know he will be in Halifax with me.

After planning a celebration party with Lacy, her mom, and Jade I leave I still need to get dressed. Good thing is only 12 I still have the whole day not to mention the weekend to hang out with Jordan. *Sorry, I took so long Lacy's mom is planning a party for us. On my way home now to get changed then I'll head over to your house* I was supposed to be there by now but all our moms got talking and making plans which took way to long. *See u soon baby*. No matter how many times he calls me baby it still makes my heart flutter.

Its nearly 2 when I finally make it to his house. When I walk through the door both his parents congratulate me. Me and Jordan have only been together a couple of months but Laura and John treat me like family. "Mine, Lacy, and Jade's parents are having a congratulations diner for us next weekend I would love to have you there and I'm sure Jade would too," I tell them. "We already got invited by Jade but thank you for inviting us to sweetie," Laura says. To be honest this diner is probably just the start. When I told my parents today my mom cried and my dad hugged me tighter than he ever didn't before and told me he was proud of me which is a first.

When I get to Jordan's room, he's watching his favorite show, it's about a talking dog and the baby can talk but I'm not sure if anyone other than the dog can understand him. I don't get it but I watch it with him. "Hey there, college girl" He greets me when I sit on his bed with him. My parents don't even let him in my room, here is the only place we get to be alone. Even though me and him will both be adults next month; which reminds me, "What do you want to do for you birthday, its exactly a month for today you know" I remind him he never wants to plan his party. "I've decided I don't really want to do anything, and it's my birthday so you can't say no," he says. Damn, I wanted to do something for him. "Now your birthday, on the other hand, I want to take you for diner, if I get the chance, I know Lacy and Jade are already planning it. They pulled Dani into the planning as well so be ready for something big" he laughs. Me, Lacy, and Jade always plan each other birthdays since they are so close together. Mines the first of February, Lacys is the third, and Jades is the sixth. I have already been planning their birthdays too. "When is Dani's birthday," I ask realizing she has never said anything about it. "You don't have to worry about that for a while it's not until the end of July" He informs me.
