I BELIEVE [in DepEd, in Light of COVID19]

Note: the following is my translation of an original post by my friend Mr. Ernel F. Galang Jr., as his expression of hope towards better condition of Teachers all over the Philippines in light of the COVID19 pandemic. Below this translation shall be placed the original piece by my friend, in its entirety.

I [wishfully] BELIEVE in DepEd, that they would provide PPE's for TEACHERS come JUNE 1, such as Surgical Face Masks and Face Shields to ensure the safety of both Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel.

I [wishfully] BELIEVE, too, that DepEd would release some Guidelines for TEACHERS regarding the proposed Home Visitations for the purpose of possible distribution of modules to learners.

I [highly hope and] BELIEVE that DepEd would create a mechanism that shall provide "COVID Special Leave Credits" for TEACHERS who [God forbid!] might acquire respiratory ailments and other COVID-19 symptoms; most especially when they would have to absent themselves and undergo 14-Day Quarantine, or in "worst case", confine themselves for being a COVID-19 Suspected Case.

I [hopefully] BELIEVE that DepEd would not forsake [but rather take good care of] their Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel, most especially with regards to their benefits, security, and safety.

So be it.

'SUMASAMPALATAYA'

SUMASAMPALATAYA ako sa DepEd na ipo-'provide' nila ang PPE's ng mga GURO simula JUNE 1, gaya ng Surgical Face Mask at Face Shields para masiguro ang kaligtasan ng mga Teaching at Non Teaching Personnel.

SUMASAMPALATAYA rin ako na maglalabas ng Guidelines ang DepEd sa pag Home Visit ng mga Guro sa pagbibigay ng modules.

Lubos akong SUMASAMPALATAYA na gagawa ng mekanismo ang DepEd na maglaan ng "COVID Special Leave Credits" sa mga GURONG magkakaroon ng respiratory ailments at syndrome. Lalo na kung kakailanganin niyang umabsent o mag-undergo ng 14 Day Quarantine o 'worst' ay ma-confine dahil sa pagiging Suspected Case ng COVID.

SUMASAMPALATAYA akong hindi pababayaan ng DepEd ang mga nasa Teaching at Non Teaching Personnel lalo na sa usapin ng benepisyo at karagdagang seguridad.
