There's nothing else in this world more frustrating then wanting something that doesn't exist, which is what I feel right now. I let my eyes drift from the road slightly as my thoughts take over. This is two nights in a row I've had a continuing dream. I'm going about my day looking forward to the moment I drift off too sleep as I might have a chance to see Theo again.

I pull into the staff car park at work and get ready to start my shift. I work as a waitress and a bar tender at a local family pub. They sell all sorts of food as well as drinks. It always has a cheery atmosphere and whilst most nights I look forward to spending the evening talking to the customers, tonight I just want to be in bed.

"Shailene!" One of our regulars named David called out as I walk in.

"Hey David, how's your evening going?" I ask grabbing an apron to wear.

"Swell thank you, and yours?"

"Its going good man, want another drink?" I ask seeing the glass he was holding was just about empty.

"Oh yes please! Thank you love" he says with a warm smile taking the last sip of his beer and turning back to his friends who are watching the TV intently.

I grab a glass and begin to pour him another drink.

"Good evening Shai" I feel two hands on my shoulders and I jump slightly with the full glass in my hand.

"Good evening, how are you?" I ask giving my manager a small smile

"I'm doing good thanks" I notice his smile lingering longer then it should as if he is waiting for something. I cock my head slightly which he responds with a slight raise of his eyebrow.

"What?" I ask with a chuckle

"Have you asked?"

"Asked what.. Oh shit right Emma." I say realization flooding my face. "No sorry I completely forgot." I say whilst walking over and handing the guy over his drink with a smile. "I've been really busy" I say when I get back behind the bar.

"Well you had the weekend off so you weren't busy doing anything important" He laughs

"Of course" I let out a little chuckle with him. "tomorrow for definite" I smile

"Thank you Shai" he says brushing my shoulder with his hand as he walks over to chat with some customers.

I finally arrive home after a long day of work and run myself a lavender scented bath to wind down before bed.

I had an easy evening as it wasn't too busy. The hardest thing about working in an English pub is the language barriers. It's hard to exchange banter with the customers when they use random words or phrases that I've never heard before. But I enjoy my job. I love talking to new people, learning from them and listening to their stories. It's the best place to learn random facts and listen to drunk tales.

I walk back into my bathroom and turn the water off and strip down ready to relax in the lovely scented water. I like to read in the bath and today I have equipped myself with my favourite novel, Henry and June which is full of scribbles where I have underlined my favourite quotes and dog earred from being well read. I let the water encapsulate my body and the sensation brings me back to my dream. The feeling of tranquility in the water. I lean my head back and close my ears. I try to picture the man. Theo. I want to see his features and his intense stare which I've become infatuated with whilst I'm conscious. I long to feel his hand in mine for real.

I am becoming a mad women.
