Zayn’s POV

OK so I have to admit for the first three days I wasn’t so bothered about Louis and Niall’s absence. I thought they had just got overly drunk, got a room in a B&B somewhere and crashed, then repeated the process to try and get Niall over the numbing pain of Henri.

Henri is mortified.

She found out once Niall had gone walkies, that Mara is his cousin, not some secret girlfriend.

She hates herself for hurting him, I hear her sometimes crying into Grace’s shoulder that she loves Niall, and that she is terrified she has ruined things permanently.

But when it got to the fourth day I knew something was wrong. I talked to Perrie and she has been by my side every day as I joined the others and the police in searching for the boys. It was kinda unnerving when we had to go to the station and be questioned.

As if I would know where they were?

If I did I wouldn’t be searching until midnight every night, stupid Police…

Now it has been six days and I am positively pissing myself…

“Zayn?” I heard a voice pulling me out of my thoughts.

“Hm?” I replied, spinning myself round to face the voice that had just entered the kitchen where I was standing.

“I was wondering whether I could talk to you?” Grace asked me, gesturing towards the leather sofa Louis and Harry had in their kitchen.

“Of course Grace,” I answered, leading the way to the sofa, and plopping down on one end and Grace sat delicately down.

I frowned as I saw the pain and fear etched into her features, it seems to be a permanent fixture now, and she seems more afraid now, than when there was worries as to whether she’s ever be able to walk again.

“What’s up hun?” I asked, cocking my head.

“Well… I didn’t know who to talk to, and I knew I could trust you…” She started, I hummed in appreciation, “Well I might have got butt-dialled yesterday…”

I crinkled my nose in confusion, why is this relevant?

I asked her a question along the same lines.

“Well, because it was from Niall’s phone…”

I sat bolt upright immediately “And? What was Niall talking about? Was he with Louis?”

She sighed, “It wasn’t Niall talking…” I slumped back into my seat in defeat, “But it was two guys talking about how ‘the boss’ wanted them to smash his and Louis’ heads in, in three days if ‘the plan’ doesn’t come together…”

My eyes flew open so wide that I was convinced my eyeballs were going to fall out and roll around on the floor in front of me.

I choked, “Seriously?”

“Seriously…” She replied, then she started to cry, I pulled her into a tight hug and started to soothe her.

“We have to tell the Police, ok Grace? You have to tell them.” I mumbled into her hair, I felt her tense in my arms when I told her she had to tell them, but as I stroked her hair she relaxed, “I would babe; you know I would, but you know more detail. It has to be you…”
