Nightmares

Peter looked right up at the man he despised the most the guy that made him want to punch a wall the guy that was technically his father-in-law.

Peter was going to shoot him in the head but then Gamora called his name. Thanos was holding her by the arm and wouldn't let her go.

"Peter" She said trying to get him to look at her

Peter knew what she wanted she wanted him to kill her she wanted him to shoot her he promised he would.

"It's okay. I love you more than anything. Never forget that." She looked at him crying but smiling.

"I love you too so so much" Peter smiled very very weakly

He pulled the trigger and bubbles came out Thanos had used the reality stone. He was never gonna let Peter shoot her instead Thanos had had a dagger in his opposite hand and stabbed Gamora in the back multiple times til she knew she was dead and then he was gone.

Peter sat there sobbing with his girlfriend's lifeless body laying in his lap. He'd wish they could have one last dance. One last hug. One. Last. Kiss

"NOOOO..."

Peter woke up and sat up completely straight and was hyperventilating he felt like he couldn't breathe.

"Hey, hey, hey...are you okay?" Gamora asked very concerned

"Yeah, yeah just had a really bad nightmare." Peter tried to say but still hyperventilating

"Hey" she raised a hand to his cheek "I'm here for you." She said as she raised her hand higher to run her fingers through his hair "What happened."

"You know who...he killed you" Peter said staring into her eyes and intertwining their fingers

"Hey I am here. I am okay. He is gone and besides we both know even if he was alive you will never even let him lay a finger on me." Gamora said trying to calm him down

"Thank you for making me feel better I love you."

"I love you too." She kissed him gently on the lips and at this point he was super calm and they both fell back asleep

Gamora was standing in Ego's palace and Ego was holding her arms behind her back making her stand there and watch as he was about to kill Peter.

"Are u ready to watch as I murder the only man you've ever loved." Ego yells at Gamora

"Ugghhhh" Gamora groaned as she tried to get out of Ego's hold.

"Gamora..." Peter was looking at Gamora trying to get her to look back at him and she eventually did.

"I will never forget you. I love you." Peter says this to Gamora as he excepts his fate

"Noooooo please don't do this." Gamora pleads

"Sorry sweetheart but people have to learn not to cross me and when they do there are consequences." Ego laughs maniacally

Ego uses his powers to kill Peter and his lifeless body falls to the ground as Gamora kicks Ego in his junk so she can run over to Peter.

"No, no, no, please no come back to me please." Gamora cries as she cradles Peter.

"Peter pleaseeeeeee...."

"GAMORA"

Gamora's eyes shoot open as she realizes she is sweating and hyperventilating just like Peter was the night before.

"Your okay, your okay, I am right here. You were screaming in your sleep and you woke me up." Peter said worriedly

"Ego killed you and he made me...just stand there and watch." Gamora says crying

Peter takes her head to his chest and cradles her body to stop her body from shaking. Gamora leans her head against his chest and immediately starts to calm down when she hears the beat of his heart.

"I'm alive." He grabs her hand and kisses her forehead

"I am here for you just like you were here for me last night." Peter cradled her body even tighter making sure she knew how much he loved her

Peter started to realize that her body was no longer shaking and that she was asleep in his arms he lays back down in his bed not letting go of her head or her body and falls back asleep.

They both know now that with each other's love they can overcome anything.
