Lovesick boy

Peter was laying on the medbay table. Acting like a lovesick 13 year old boy

"Baby your so beautiful" he slurred to Gamora

They just came back from a mission where Peter took a really hard hit to the head and now has a concussion. If he didn't have his mask on it could have been worse so Gamora is grateful for that.

"You need to talk less" she said looking down at him

She was worried that Peter was going to spill their secret relationship to the team. Considering he's already brutally honest to begin with and now that his brain is scrambled he can't help but spill all his feelings for her. Which she doesn't mind right now considering their alone.

"Come hereeeeee" he begged

"You need to rest you have a concussion" she replied continuing to scroll through the data pad

"But my head doesn't even hurt...please just for a couple minutes"

Gamora knew the pain would eventually catch up to him but she gave in and went over to him.

"What?"

"I love you" he said almost as if he was love drunk

She just smiled and cupped his cheek gently trying not make his head hurt worse.

"I love you too"

She turned around to go sit back down but Peter stopped her

"Hey cutie where you goin" he said as a smirk tugged at his lips

Gamora giggles silently and just turned around to look at him

"You really need to stop talking"

"I'm sorry I just can't help it I just love you too-"

Peter was cut off when Gamora put her hand over his mouth as she heard footsteps approaching the medbay.

"Hey Mantis" she said as Mantis walked in

"Hello I just came in too see if Peter needed anything"

Peter tried to look at her but immediately gave up with a groan as the pain of the concussion finally hit him.

"My head hurts badly" he said as Gamora pulled her hand away so he could speak

Gamora felt her heart clench. She hates seeing him in pain. She wanted to reach out and give him a reassuring touch but she couldn't because Mantis was in the room.

"Would you like me to ease the pain"

"No!" Gamora said a little too quickly knowing that if she touched Peter she would feel his emotions and it would give away their relationship

"Terrans are not allowed to get too much sleep when they have concussion. Besides its getting late I'll take care of him you should head to bed"

Mantis smiled

"Alright just let me know if you guys need anything"

"I won't need anything as long as I have-" 

"You need to take it easy and stop talking" she said cutting him off before he could finish his sentence and jeopardize their relationship

"We will Mantis thank you"

With that Mantis left the medbay and headed for her quarters

Gamora turned back around to notice Peter's eyes starting to slowly drift close.

"You get some rest. I'll wake you up in a couple hours to monitor your headache and make sure it's not getting worse"

"Alright, thanks for taking care of me baby I love you"

Gamora would never admit it but she loved when Peter called her baby.

"I love you too" she said pressing a sweet kiss to his lips as a smile tugged at her lips

Every time Gamora woke Peter up he couldn't help but spill all that he feels for her. She didn't mind she had never been loved this way before and she wasn't going to deny that she loved his compliments. After a while she decided to try and get some sleep herself. Once she woke up that morning she realized that Peter was still sleeping decided to wake him up to make sure that his concussion was fully gone considering they had equipment on the ship that made his concussion heal faster it should be gone by now. 

"Peter wake up" Gamora said as she gently nudged him

Slowly his eyes started to flutter open and he smiled upon seeing Gamora's beautiful brown eyes.

"Hey"

She smiled "What no compliment" she joked

"Huh..." he slightly chuckled

Gamora finally realized he didn't remember anything he said when he had his concussion. Maybe he really was love drunk.

"Nevermind it's just while you had your concussion every time I woke you up to check on you, you couldn't help but spill all your feelings for me. You kept calling me beautiful and you kept telling me you loved me and that I was the best thing had ever happened to you"

Peter's eyes suddenly filled with worry "Oh no I didn't spill our secret did I"

"No, but thank god I stopped you before you spilled our secret to Mantis"

"Well even if I don't remember what I said you are incredibly beautiful, you are the best thing in my life, and you are the love my life. I love you so much"

Gamora smiled and helped him off the table and on to his feet

"Are you sure you still don't have a concussion"

"Nope because I will remember saying that to you for the rest of my life"

Gamora smiled

"I love you too" she said and slowly leaned in and kissed him long
