Meeting mom

"I'm scared" Gamora said as she was shaking

"Your gonna be fine I promise. She is going to love you the exact same she is going to treat you like the daughter she never had once she finds out I promise." Peter said holding her hands as he thumbed the back of them trying to get her to stop shaking.

"I don't know. The only people that have ever actually cared for me are Rocket, Drax, Groot, Mantis, and you."

"Hey..." Peter said cupping her cheek with his free hand

"I promise you I will be by your side the entire time. You have nothing to worry about." Peter said giving her the most thoughtful look

Gamora was still very nervous Peter was about to introduce her as his girlfriend to his mom. When Peter had asked Doctor Strange if there was a possible way of bringing his mom back he said there was and helped Peter in getting her back. Peter was so happy the day he finally got her back that he introduced her to the whole team immediately since she would be staying with them for the rest of her life. The only problem was that Peter hadn't introduced Gamora as his girlfriend yet even though they were dating.

Flashback

"Mom..." Peter said as he was about to introduce his mom to the team

"This is Drax. He is very sweet and he doesn't understand metaphors. He also lost his wife and daughter to Ronan but now we have become his new family."

"It is very nice to meet you and I am very sorry about your wife and daughter" Meredith said in the sweetest tone

"This is Rocket, he can be very annoying, rude, sarcastic, but we wouldn't have him any other way." He said providing a little chuckle at the end

"Hi there you know raccoons are my favorite animal" She said kneeling down to his height

"WHAT!!" Rocket said about to burst into flames

"Mom don't call him a raccoon I know we are from Earth and he is a raccoon but he hates being called that" Peter whispered into her ear silently trying to make sure Rocket didn't hear him

"This is Groot he was originally very big but he sacrificed himself to save us but we replanted him and now he is back to being a baby. By the way all he says is three words. I and am and Groot. Rocket's are translator"

"He is so adorable. Want some candy" Meredith said letting Groot crawl into her hand

"I am Groot"

"He said yes he would like some very much" Rocket said translating what Groot had said for Meredith

Meredith then proceeded to pull a piece of wrapped candy out of her pocket and give it to Groot and set him back down on the table.

"This is Mantis, she is an empath which basically means if she touches you she can read your emotions. She can do some other things to but the only thing I know of off the top of my head is she can make you sleep."

"Hi there" She said giving Mantis a sweet smile. Which Mantis gladly returned

"And last but certainly not least...this is Gamora my..."

Peter looked over at Gamora giving her look that was asking her whether or not he should introduce her as his girlfriend yet. Gamora just mouthed very subtly that she didn't want him to do it yet because she wanted to talk to him first. Through these glances to each other Meredith was looking up at Peter waiting for him to finish what he was saying.
