Injured

It was supposed to be an easy mission. A get in get out type of mission...nothing should have gone wrong. But when your working with the Guardians of the Galaxy something always does.

The Guardians were hired by the nova corps to retrieve something but they wouldn't tell them what it was but they said that it was crucial that they get it. So the Guardians agreed to it. Everyone else thought it was fine but Gamora was a little skeptical. Mostly because she was afraid of not knowing what it was ever since Ronan happened.

A couple hours earlier
"I don't know about this" Gamora said skeptically

"We're gonna be fine...I don't know what your so worried about. We'll get in and we'll get out and it will be as simple as that." Peter said calmly

"Yeah but this is the same feeling that I had on Ego's planet that something didn't feel right and look how that turned out." Gamora said sternly trying to prove her point

"That is completely different!"

"Not really I just...I don't want anyone to get hurt or die. Especially not you I love you I can't lose you." Gamora said

Peter walked over to Gamora grabbed her arms and rub them up and down. He cupped her cheek and wiped away the tear that had escaped from her eye.

I promise you everything is going to be okay...I will be okay. If you are really that skeptical about it than we will be extra careful." Peter said trying to calm her down

"Promise?"

"Promise" Peter said holding one hand up and putting one hand on his heart to show that he was pledging to watch his back

Present Day
"You dare try and steal the stone of Berhert. There are consequences for that!"

This man in a black jumpsuit and a black mask was holding Peter and he had a knife to his neck. Peter had previously tried to sneak up behind the man as quietly as possible and tried to steal the object which they figure out now was the stone Berhert but it quickly failed after he dropped it when he figured out how heavy it was. It hit the floor with a loud bang causing the guy in the black jumpsuit to turn around. Gamora had noticed Peter screw up and now she was trying to save him from getting his throat sliced.

"Let him go and we will let you live." Gamora said trying to sound calm and stoic

"Oh sweetheart that's not how this works." With that the black guy in the jumpsuit which Peter was assuming was the security guard slit Peter's throat with the knife and Gamora stabbed the guard with her Godslayer and he was lying dead on the floor.

"PETER-"

"P...Peter stay with me come on stay with me. Your going to be okay we're going to get you to a hospital." Gamora said sobbing

"G'mora i...is that y...you" Peter said struggling to breathe

"Yeah yeah it's me I'm here."

"Before I die-"

"Your not going to die you hear me." Gamora said interrupting him

"Before I die I want to say I lov' you so much never forget that-"

With that Peter took his last breath. It was official Peter Jason Quill was dead...Gamora just got up and started killing everything in sight out of anger, sadness, and rage she screamed at the top of her lungs.
