quick disclaimer: the story is set at a fansign, however i don't actually know how exactly fansigns work, so i just wrote what i thought it would be like! (: i wasn't sure if i wanted to upload this, but i decided to just do it. i hope you all enjoy! - EM

taehyung had a slight weakness for hello kitty.

his favorite stuffie was one that yoongi had given him the day after he told the older about his little space and it was a hello kitty one. some of his most comfortable clothes were hello kitty themed and he loved watching the show and coloring hello kitty pictures.

a lot had happened since taehyung had gotten attached to the kitty stuffie all those months ago. when he first told yoongi that he regressed to a younger age to destress, taehyung had never expected any of this to happen. their relationship evolved from friends to little and caregiver to boyfriends.

taehyung couldn't be more happy in his situation and he shared all of those feelings with kitty. he always shared his thoughts and feelings with the plush toy, whether they were positive or negative. taehyung was basically always holding kitty when he was in little space, he had gotten really attached to the toy and barely wanted to let go of it.

this meant that anything hello kitty related was triggering for taehyung, it always made him want to regress when he saw the character somewhere.

sometimes this was a good thing, for example when he wanted to regress but was having a hard time to do so. yoongi would give him kitty and dress him in some hello kitty clothes and they'd color in his hello kitty book together, making it easier for the little to relax and regress.

sometimes it was not such a good thing, for example during fansigns.

fans liked to gift taehyung and the other six members all kinds of things, but they especially got a lot of cute things. fans would ask them to put on hats or other accessoiries, including headbands, and make certain faces or poses.

so here taehyung was, smiling widely as a fan handed him a hello kitty headband. it took a lot of power not to yell out kitty!, but he managed to hold it in. he said hello to the fan and started chatting with her, as he put the headband on his head.

yoongi was sitting to taehyungs left and looked over at his younger boyfriend. the fan he was chatting to had already moved on to namjoon, so there was no-one he should be paying attention to right now, giving him some time to stare.

however, yoongi was a little shocked when he saw taehyung wearing a hello kitty headband and he immediately started worrying. he knew the effect of anything hello kitty related had on taehyung and slipping during a fansign would not be good.

the fans didn't even know about the relationship between the two members, even though they were starting to notice a few things here and there, let alone about taehyung's little space. and neither of the boys were really ready for the fans to know.

the rapper knocked his foot against taehyung's, as he thanked whoever was above for the long cloth draped over the table, hiding their legs and feet. pushing their feet together was a sign the couple agreed on to get each others attention, so it was no surprise when taehyung turned his head to look at yoongi.
