"you'd look amazing"

yoongi x seokjin

au : no
content warning(s) : none

note: this is the sweetest and most domestic thing i've ever written, be aware... it's almost too cute. there is also no little in the story's present, but the situation is started by what happened when yoongs was little the day before, so i thought it was still okay! hope you enjoy (:

yoongi liked to wear seokjin's clothes.

especially when he was feeling a bit off or stressed or more tired than usual. the older male was way bigger than yoongi himself and on top of that liked to wear slightly oversized clothing, making his shirts basically look like dresses on the rapper. he loved it.

being swallowed up in the soft fabric like that - seokjin definitely used a really nice fabric softener - was comforting to him. he loved it the most when it was just warm enough to only wear one of his caregiver's shirts and a pair of socks and then sit on the couch, cuddled up to the older for a few hours.

last night was one of those nights, and yoongi loved waking up in the morning to whatever mess they - mostly he himself, had left behind.

yoongi sat up slowly, stretching his arms and feeling the pink fabric from the shirt he stole from seokjin's closet yesterday shifting around on his shoulders. often one of his shoulders would be exposed, due to the neckline being so wide and his shoulders so narrow.

he could see into the living room through the hallway and smiled when he saw a few plushies scattered around the spot where the couple had cuddled up the night before. yoongi noticed the weight of a pacifier clip still hanging onto the collar of his shirt, so he blindly reached for it to take it off. the rapper didn't wake up in little space.

seokjin hummed lowly next to him, sensing movement on the bed, but not wanting to open his eyes yet.

"baby," he groaned. "stay with me a little longer."

the oldest peaked open one eye to see yoongi placing his pacifier on the nightstand, immediately realising he wasn't in little space anymore.

"gimme a kiss," he said, puckering up as he relaxed into his pillow.

yoongi chuckled but complied without complaining. the kiss was as soft as it could possibly be, so early in the morning after the both of them had just woken up.

the younger pulled back carefully, pecking seokjin's nose before nuzzling into his neck. they wrapped up in each other so easily, used to it and knowing exactly how they fit together after being in a relationship for years.

"you were so cute last night," seokjin whispered. yoongi got goosebumps at the feeling of seokjin's warm breath fanning over his back where the shirt had fallen down and exposed his skin.

"hm?" yoongi didn't really say anything, but seokjin understood he was asking him to explain.

"you said you wanted to get married."

"what?" yoongi said, abruptly sitting up.

seokjin groaned, not expecting the comfortable warmth that was pressed up to him to suddenly leave like that.

"i did what?" yoongi asked again. his face looked horrified.

"baby," seokjin chuckled. "don't look so scared."

"i can't believe i said that," yoongi mumbled, laying back down. seokjin gladly took him back into his arms.

"why not? is it not true?"

"n-no, it is." yoongi could feel the redness spread over his cheeks. he wasn't expecting on having this conversation with his boyfriend so soon. yes, they had been together for years, but their situation made it so that not even all their friends knew they were together, let alone their fans.

"really?"

yoongi could hear the smile in the older's voice.

"yeah," he smiled widely as well, turning his head and pecking the other's lips a few times.

"you know, i've been thinking about getting married for the past few weeks." yoongi spoke up after a few minutes of silence. "couldn't get it out of my head after hoseok asked me about it."

"he asked you about marriage?" seokjin asked.

"hm," yoongi nodded. "wanted to know if we had talked about it. i hadn't, but i'd also be lying if i said i hadn't thought about spending the rest of my life with you."

seokjin smiled softly. "yeah, i understand. i'd pushed the thought of marriage away as soon as i realised i was never going to fall for a girl."

he brushed his hand through yoongi's soft hair, just admiring his partner for a while. being in a relationship with someone of the same gender was complicated in their country, especially in their positions where basically everyone was paying attention to them. add the fact that they were in the same boyband to that and you've got the perfect recipe for a huge controversy.

they were the only two people in the world who struggled with this, they were the only ones in this exact position, but they found strength in it. they used it to get even closer to each other.

getting married was going to be complicated. technically, they wouldn't even be getting married. it would more so be about promising each other to be together for the rest of their lifes, than it would be about a contract binding them together by law. or could be, really.

"do- do you think i could wear a dress?" yoongi asked carefully.

"you'd really want to wear a dress?" seokjin asked, a proud smile on his lips. he knew yoongi actually really loved dresses, even if he hadn't said that himself. the way the older's shirts looked like dresses on the smaller male and him loving this so much, was only one of the signs. seokjin was happy yoongi felt comfortable enough to mention this to him.

"i think so," yoongi nodded, knowing seokjin would have no judgement towards his wish at all.

"you'd look amazing." seokjin said, no trace of doubt in his voice. his fingers were still playing with the younger's hair.

yoongi couldn't help the smile on his face. it was cheesy, so cliche, but it was things like this, moments like these that reminded him of their strange love. their bond was formed at a weird time, in a weird place, yet it was so strong. unbreakable.

"i love you," yoongi whispered.

"i love you more," seokjin promised.
