Next day, after supper/Draco's POV

"You can never 'just be friends' with someone you fell in love with"

I was on my way to my "date" with Hermione when Astoria came across my way.

"Astoria? What are you doing here?", I asked surprised.

"Bloody hell, Draco. I'm your future wife!", she snapped back. Yeah, she's actually right., "Draco, are you busy right now-", ugh, c'mon I'm on my way to Hermione, leave me alone "-we could spend some time together"

"N-No, I'm busy", I answered. I was looking for some help when Blaise heard us.

"Draco and I are going to have a boy's night tonight, I'm sorry, Astoria", he lied. And went away with me.

"Mate, I'm so thankful you lied for me, seriously", I was really thankful.

"No problem, mate. But try to be more careful next time. I won't be able to always save you when- oh, have you checked the time? Your meeting should start in 15min"

"Oh oh right, thank you a lot, mate. I'm going to shower quickly and then I'll meet her! I'm already so excited", I really was. I can't believe it actually. I'm the boy that every Slytherin girl likes and to be honest, I already dated a few of them. But I was never so excited to meet any of them like I'm right now.

In the library
Draco, calm down. You still are the Slytherin King. Act cool. Stay calm, it's only Granger. Okay, bloody hell, it's not only Granger. It's Granger, Hermione Granger. She's such a perfect girl, but unfortunately, she's with Ron.

"Hello, Malfoy", I didn't see her coming.

" Uhm, hey Granger", I was already so nervous.

"Let's sit down and start our project", she grinned and grabbed her quill out of her bag. "Ugh, I forgot my parchment paper. Do you have some with you?"

"Well, well. The brightest witch of our age forgot something. 1000 Points from Gryffindor", I joked. She looks so cute when she's annoyed.

"Have you forgotten Rule 2? Don't piss me off or I'll throw a hex on you", she hissed, but I could tell she was joking.

"Try it."

"Really"

"Yeah, bet you'll not"

"Actually, I totally would, but since I'm a prefect, I won't do it because the fellow students would have a wrong image of me"
I started to laugh.

"What's so funny about that?"

"Nothing."

"Whatever, we have to focus on our project now."

And then we started working. After a while, she caught me staring at her perfect face:

"What's the matter, Malfoy"

"Ugh, I was just wondering if we could be friends"

"Wait what?"

"Seriously, it was so childish to bully each other every single year, and now we'll have to spend time with each other anyway, we could be friends, right?" I smirked.

"Uhm yeah."

"Let's start with calling each other by our first name, Hermione"

"Yes, Draco"

"See you at breakfast, Hermione"

"Good night, Draco"

I went to our dormitory and while I slept, I dreamed of her beautiful face.
