At the Quidditch field/Hermione's POV:

"What is stronger than the human heart which shatters over and over and still lives?"

I always hated Quidditch. It's extremely dangerous; Harry almost swallowed the snitch in our first year. Another reason to hate Quidditch is that my best friend and the boy I might like are playing against each other. Or rather watching them fighting. Anyway, I decided to ask Draco out on a date. I know it's extremely risky, not only because of Greengrass, more because of the fact that no one would like to see us together. Both of us are in a relationship. He seems to be happier in his, but it's okay. Last night, I thought about asking Harry if Ron has cheated on me. In case he did, it would be the perfect occasion to break up with him. He didn't send me any letters since the beginning of this school year and just behaved like a ferret.

"Gryffindor vs Slytherin. Please play with respect. I expect this game to be clean and fair", and as soon as these words came out of Madam Hooch's mouth, the players began to play. I actually don't understand Quidditch, that's why I only focused on the points on the scoreboard.

"Both teams already received 60 points! This match is getting exciting!" Lavender commented. She begged to be this match's commentator. "Oh, it seems like Slytherin's actually pretty attractive seeker Draco Malfoy has seen the snitch! "

"Lavender!", shouted Professor McGonagall and Greengrass at the same time.

"Just saying", Lavender answered with a shrug.

Then she started focusing on the match again:
"Ginny Weasley brought Gryffindor 10 more points! But hold on: Draco has almost caught the snitch!", she made a little pause to make her commenting more interesting, "Slytherin's seeker has caught the snitch! The match is over! 210 points to 70 for Slytherin! The first time that Slytherin won against Gryffindor in almost a decade!"

I didn't even focus on her. All I saw was the cocky, victorious smile of Draco whose teeth shone so bright that they glared me. Draco glanced at me for a second, then he turned around to Greengrass who hugged him tightly. And again, I felt this unbelievable huge wave of jealousy that broke my heart. Didn't I want to ask him out after the match? Nah, I better don't now. I know how Greengrass would act if she heard about me eventually crushing her fiancé. But isn't she too young to get engaged? Ugh, whatever.

The next 10 minutes I spent with comforting Ginny who was almost about to cry. "We almost won! It was only because Slytherin was cheating, I swear to Merlin!", she snuffled.

I tried to comfort her as much as I could, anyway a second later she came up with the brutal idea to hex the brooms of the Slytherin team. Fortunately, I was able to persuade her that Gryffindor would win the Quidditch cup sooner or later and how funny it would be to see the Slytherins crying of shame. When we walked by the changing room of the Slytherin Quidditch players, I told her: "Gin, you can already go to our dormitory. I'll come in a moment, okay?"

I think she understood what I planned because she went to our dormitory without any further questions. I waited in front of their changing room for Draco.

"Hey, Draco", I said trying to act as cool as possible.

"Uhm, hey Hermione." He was probably confused. I understand him, he expected me to be Greengrass, I guess.

"You were absolutely amazing! Congratulations to your win!" I already gave up acting cool.

"Thanks, Hermione", he coolly.

"No problem. I just wanted to remind you that we have to work on our project tomorrow. Anyway, go and enjoy your date with Greengrass", I said because Greengrass was already walking in our direction.

"Well, thank you. See you tomorrow at the library. I'll send you an owl with the time." Maybe I was hallucinating, but Draco actually was holding eye contact with me. Not the typical form, no. It was way more intense and piercing.

"Draco, honey, let's go", Astoria interrupted our eye contact and was glaring at me like she was getting shirty with me.

"Yeah, sweetheart, I'm coming." And again, it broke my heart hearing Draco saying 'sweetheart'.
