"Tokyo lost her mind." Andrés begins as we all listen to him. "She couldn't take it. I had no other choice but to turn her in... We're all here risking our lives, let's please join hands." Nairobi grabs my hand, and her touch always beings me comfort so I squeeze it slightly. In my other hand is Andrés, he strokes my palm with his thumb adoringly, trying to catch up on the time we've missed whilst I was angry with him. "We must unite."
"Who the fuck are you?" Rio's voice breaks as he says it with tears in his eyes, and his hands firmly glued together in his own grip.
"Rio, relax." I snap.
"I'm not going to relax!" He raises his voice. "Tokyo's in jail, she's my girlfriend and you fucked up her life!" He shouts at Andrés.
"It's your first love," Andrés replies coolly. "You think it's the end of the world, but I can assure you, it's not."
"Shut your fucking mouth!" Rio spits like a stroppy teenager. "Moscow, you can't honestly believe what Berlin has done is right?"
"Son..." He croaks. "She went over the edge." Hearing Moscow's reasoning brings me comfort that Andrés is thinking more rationally now then he did in the earlier stages of the heist, and my guilt lessens.
"Nairobi..." Rio whispers.
"There are rules here, she didn't except it and she lost it!" She argues back.
"Denver, you know this is bullshit." Rio squeaks losing hope.
"Yeah man, but she played Russian roulette with Berlin, what did you expect?" Denver's comment makes my guilt completely fade for her now.
"We can't have a bomb like her in here, she would've ruin everything, Rio." I state, knowing Andrés had suspected this of Tokyo the day we first met her.
"You're all with Berlin..." He whispers and slides his gun to Andrés. "You lost hostages, then Tokyo... I guess it won't matter if I go either, huh? I'm leaving."
"Wait, Rio. Have this, wave it over your head so the police don't shoot you." Andrés gives him a white handkerchief. "Give me a hug." And very fixedly, he wraps his arms around the doe-eyed teen. "Never stop believing in love." Andrés whispers then sneakily puts a small knife in Rio's back, and he screams in pain. "He needs to rest!" He says putting him down on the sofa.
Rio soon drifts off into a sleep, probably from the shock and Nairobi starts dressing the stab wound Andrés has caused. "I didn't sign up to be his nurse." She mutters and I smile at her. "I'm worried about the Professor..."
"Don't be, Nairobi. He'll call." I whisper checking Rio's temperature.
"Easy for you to say, you're just in a happy little cloud with Berlin now! Bet you've not even discussed what you're going to do with that Ariadna girl yet, have you?" She bursts out, but she's right... We've not discussed that bitch yet.
"Enough Nairobi, watch Rio, that's an order." Andrés yells and walks out the room. With Ariadna on my mind, I chase after him and grab his hand.
"What are you going to do with that little bitch, huh?"
He grabs my shoulders and pushes me to the wall heavily, using more strength then he needed to. "Do you trust me?" He asks, but I don't reply, thinking. "Do you trust me." He says louder, and I just nod. "Then leave it with me."
"No, I want to know!" I say anxiously. "You're mine, and she needs to know it! Let me get my hands on her!" I say hungrily, thinking about all the ways I could make her fear for her life.
"No, Vienna." He boldly shouts. "Leave it to me, and trust me."
"Don't hurt me again, Andrés... Please, I can't do it again." I mutter feeling my eyes pool with salty tears, wondering if I really can trust him alone with her again.
