The morning sun was warm, but a light breeze passes through mine and Nairobi's hair peacefully making the air feel fresh. Nairobi lays a blanket out for us, and together we sit down in a heap on it.

"I heard Denver has a crush on you." Nairobi bites her lip excitedly, whereas I roll my eyes.

"God, I wish you'd all listen to me when I say we're just friends!" I push her arm playfully and she laughs as she lies down on the blanket.

"You'd make a nice couple you know." She comment with her eyes closed, playing Cupid.

"Yeah, I know."

"Then why don't you make the most of it?" Nairobi sits back up. "Imagine if it works, and you live happily ever after with all that money and Denver loving you."

"Imagine if it doesn't work." I say negatively and she shakes her head disappointingly at me.

"Come on, tell me. What is it about him you don't like." She asks and I think.

I admit, there were few, but some were valid. "Well for starters he does drugs, massively. And you of all people should know I want nothing to do with drugs again, ever." She nods understandingly. "Besides, he's not my type." I say lazily.

"Not your type? Then what is your type? Rio?" She asks, but I snigger.

"Quite the opposite."

"Older men? Like, Berlin?" She bursts out laughing and I try to fake a laugh to pretend she wasn't onto me.

"Yes, older men. They're more mature, they look after me better, and they love so much harder then men our age." Nairobi's eyes are so wide that you can tell she's listening to every single word I'm saying. She must love the idea of love too, and is waiting for the right man. I knew she liked Helsinki, but since he revealed he's gay, she's obviously stopped that fantasy. "They also don't talk shit like Denver and Rio do." She laughs again.

"That I can agree with. I don't think I've ever been treated right by a guy my age."

"Try older men, you might find you like it." I mutter and see her beam a smile.

"I think Berlin's more your type, Vienna!" She slaps my arm playfully. "However the Professor..." She pauses and looks to the sky with thought, and we laugh together.

"Good morning Nairobi, Vienna." Andrés purrs to us and stops our giggles instantly.

"Berlin! We were just tal-" I hit Nairobi in the arm to stop her. "just talking about what we're doing with our day."

"Weren't you meant to go to the Mint today to check the security cameras, Nairobi?" He asks but she shakes her head.

"No, the lovebirds wanted to go together. Anyways, Tokyo needed to get out, the Professor said her mother just died so a change of scenery might help her today." Andrés just nods.

"Would you mind if I had a chat with Vienna?" Berlin asks.

"Not at all!" Nairobi cheerfully says, and Andrés offers me his hand for me to get up. I take it and walk alongside him.

I look over my shoulder and see Nairobi is watching us walk together, I can see from a fair distance that her eyebrows have joined in confusion, and I know then that she already suspects something is going on between me and Andrés.

"Where are we going?" I ask in a huff, but as soon as we lose site of the house Andrés stops us, takes my hand and kisses it.

"We've been fighting like a cat and dog these past few days, and I don't like it. Not having you in my bed last night was torture, knowing we haven't been the same for some time now - I couldn't sleep."

"I hate us fighting too, but we're only fighting because you don't like what I'm doing at the moment. You need to let me have my youth before I settle down with you." I tell him truthfully.

"Am I not good enough for you anymore, Aurora?" His eyes droop, like a sad dog would when it's been abandoned. He's trying to manipulate me.

"Andrés." I cup his cheek and his hand places over mine, making it disappear.

"You'll always be enough, and I'm so sorry we've been fighting. But I promise, as soon as we're in the Mint you're my main priority. Then just think how happy we'll be when we're rich!" I grin and he smiles too.

He leans in and his forehead falls onto mine, then he whispers: "I want us to be happy before we enter the Mint. We need to stop fighting, Aurora."

I lean away from him until I meet his glorious bronze eyes. "You want to know why I'm the hardest relationship you've ever had, Andrés?" He cocks his head in question. "Because all your other lovers have rolled on their back for you and you have used them as doormats. I'm worth more than that, and that's why we're fighting. Respect me, Andrés and we won't fight." I say sternly, trying to get my point across no matter how much this hurts him to hear.

"You know what else makes us fight?" He asks which makes me confused now. "We fight because we love each other, so very much." I smile at his comment, it's true. I really do love him, and the sooner we get out of the Mint together the better our lives will be.

He lifts my chin softly so my lips meet his, and we kiss lovingly for the first time in a few days.

"I love you." I whisper to him.

"I love you." He whispers back and pulls me into a trusting embrace.
