"Bev, you know what I'm talking about," You said, your voice soft to not alert the others.

"I have no clue what you're saying," Beverly protests, her eyebrows knit together as her eyes squinted.

Your eyes momentarily glanced over at Bill who was too busy with Stan to notice the two of you whispering to each other. "It's obvious you like them," You said, although Beverly barely caught it.

You didn't want to admit it, but every time Beverly hung out with Bill it made you feel sick to the stomach. And the other losers didn't make it any better. They would always joke about Biv and how they always had some sort of chemistry. Beverly told you about her first kiss with Bill and about her second kiss, which also happened to be with Bill. She claims that the second one was a heat of the moment decision and nothing is going on between the two. Still, you can't help but wish that you were Bill.

Beverly's nose scrunched up as she looked over at Bill, shaking her head. "I already told you, we aren't a thing," She huffed, "And those kisses didn't mean anything."

You nodded despite the unsettling feeling in the pit of your stomach. Maybe they wanted to keep their relationship a secret? But Beverly never keeps secrets from you, she tells you everything.

Sighing, you rubbed your forehead in an attempt to calm your thoughts. "You're right, sorry Bev. We don't keep secrets from each other."

Beverly smiled, but it didn't look like the ones she normally gave you. It didn't reach her ears like it normally did. Was she faking it?

"Yeah. Now we should join everyone else."

It had been two weeks since that talk with Beverly. You stopped making comments about how Beverly looked so close to Bill, but you still couldn't keep the thoughts from filling your head. Every time you looked at her, there was always Bill. They were like two peas in a pod and you were the one that broke off.

You hated doubting Beverly's words but you were sure that Bill and her were dating at this point. There was even a day where you were out and saw the two of them grocery shopping together. Maybe you were overreacting but something about it was unsettling.

Despite how you felt, you still went on like normal. You hung out with the losers a lot and began to grow closer to Ben. Although he is quite shy, he has a very creative mind and a sweet personality. He's like the total opposite of Richie.

While you were enjoying your newfound friendship, you couldn't help your eyes wandering to Beverly. It's like all you could see was her.

Even at the loser sleepover, your mind was filled with Beverly. You laid in your sleeping bag on your back, tired eyes staring at the ceiling yet sleep was so far away. Nothing you did could stop your thoughts from traveling back to her.

Your eyes moved from the ceiling and to your left, making out a figure beside you. Beverly's chest rose as she inhaled and slowly lowered as she exhaled. You would hate to disturb her sleep but something made you feel like you had to talk to her.

You quietly slipped out of your sleeping bag, being cautious to not move too fast to cause any unnecessary sounds. Once you successfully wiggled yourself out, you crawled next to Beverly, poking her on the arm.

"Beverly," You whispered, although it sounded way too loud in the quiet room. "Bev."

Beverly's eyes scrunched as she stretched slightly. "Hm?"

"Can I sleep with you? I need someone by my side."

Beverly's eyebrows rose but she scooted over anyway, unzipping the side of the sleeping bag for you to crawl in. "It's going to be a little tight but sure."

You were a bit hesitant slipping into the small space next to Beverly, holding your breath when you felt the heat radiating off of her. The temperature did nothing to calm down your heartbeat. You swear if Beverly was listening close enough, she could hear the violent thumps through your chest. You swallowed thickly as you looked up at Beverly, a nervous smile accompanying your face.

Beverly's shoulders fell as she let out a content sigh, inching closer to you. The warmth was starting to put you to sleep, your eyes slowly drooping as seconds passed. However, when Beverly said your name, you were wide awake. "(Y/n)."

Your eyes shot open, head tilting up again to make eye contact with her. "Yeah?"

"I have something I need to tell you." Beverly's voice was quieter than normal and she almost seemed timid. Beverly broke eye contact and took a deep breath, closing her eyes as she thought about what to say next.

"Beverly," You said cautiously, "It's okay, you can tell me." You gently set your hand on her arm, attempting to comfort her.

"I like you," Beverly let out before holding her breath again, "like a lot."

For a moment you froze, trying to process what she said to you. It was like your mind short-circuited, not able to comprehend that your crush and best friend liked you too.

"Wait, really?" Beverly nodded her head. "Like for real?" She nodded her head again, a smile starting to appear on her face. "Is this Heaven?"

"More like Hell," A low voice growled from across the room, "Now can you two be quiet, there are people trying to sleep."

Beverly rolled her eyes at Stanley and opened her arms, inviting you to get closer to her. Of course you were going to take that opportunity, moving straight into her arms and sighing in content. You were close to falling asleep when you heard another voice from next to you.

"Holy shit. Eddie, we're not the only ones!"
