"Holy shit!" You screeched, bouncing away from the bathroom counter. You stumbled and tried to regain your balance, in turn, tripping over the toilet behind you. Once you caught yourself, you leaped to the door, flinging it open.
"Stanley!" You screeched again, running out of the bathroom.
He looked up from your bed, eyes wide as he scanned over you. When he realized you weren't injured, Stanley let out the breath he was holding and stood up from the bed. "What's wrong?"
"I- there's a s-spider," You whined, not realizing how dumb it sounded until after it came out of your mouth.
"That's why you're so scared?" Stanley questioned, raising his eyebrows. He tilted his head as you tried to formulate a response that made sense.
"It's a big spider Stan, you know I don't like spiders," You pouted, making a puppy face at him.
He sighed, trying his best to resist rolling his eyes at you. Stanley knew you weren't the best with spiders but that doesn't mean he can't tease you a bit.
"What am I supposed to do?"
"Get rid of it!" Your pitch rose as nerves kept rolling through your body. That monster was still in there and you didn't want it to disappear by the time Stanley decided to get rid of it.
Your boyfriend finally nodded his head and went in the bathroom, eyes roaming until it stopped on a spider that now rested on the wall.
"Come on, Y/n, it's not that big," Stanley said teasingly, face leaning closer to the arachnid.
"What are you talking about! It's huge!"
He laughed at you, shaking his head. "It's barely the size of my pinky finger."
You let out a whine, letting your shoulder drop in defeat. "Can you just get rid of it?"
Stanley rolled his eyes, patting your head as he walked around you and out the door.
"Wait- Where are you going?" You questioned immediately, eyes wide as you looked between the spider and your boyfriend.
"I'll be back," He assured you before walking out of sight.
While he was gone, your eyes did not leave the spider, watching closely as it crawled up the wall slowly. You stayed as far away as you could but close to the door in case you needed to make a run for it.
It wasn't long before Stanley came back, a glass and paper in hand. You watched incredulously as he calmly trapped the spider in the glass and started walking away with it. Before he went out the door, he smiled cheekily at you. "You sure you don't wanna kiss it goodbye?"
"Hell no! Just get it out, Stan!"
He laughed at you, his smile growing larger. "It's probably more scared of you that you are of it."
"That's what they all say," You joked, pointing your finger at him for emphasis.
As long as you and the spider can live separate lives, you'll be happy.
