Zoe's POV

Weekend!

Ito na siguro ang weekend na pinakahihintay ko. Sana wala ng aberya sa company kasi di na kakayanin ng energy ko huhu... ngayon din ang dating ni Boo. In fairness, ngayon ko na naaapreciate yung closeness nya sa boss nya kasi he is always requested to tag along whenever may mga meeting ito sa parts of Asia. Side trip na niya palagi ang Pilipinas o kahit saan man ako naroroon timing sa travel niya. After our South Korea trip para sa Thanksgiving ng Crash Landing On You, nagkita pa kami ni Boo ng dalawang beses: one sa Thailand when I went in a talk with the management of our new endorser and the other one dito sa Pilipinas. Nag-segue way ang lolo nyo from Taiwan.

Today he's coming over from the home of merlion.

"Baby, your phone."

"Oh my God, naiwan ko na naman pala."

"Yeah..." daddy handed it to me. "Sophia Elizabeth, bata ka pa. Don't be forgetful. Answer that call and then sumunod ka na sa dining. Nakapagluto na ang mommy mo."

"Aye aye, Sir!" Sumaludo ako sa tatay ko at natawa lang sya. Ang pogi talaga ni daddy hehe!

Fr. Fausto's name is on my phone screen. Uy overseas call. "Hello, Fr. Fausto?"

"Sophia! I'm glad you picked up."

"Sorry po, my phone was not with me. Napatawag kayo, Father? Kumusta po?"

"I'm doing well, Sophia. I hope okay ka rin dyan? Sana di ka na workaholic?"

"Haha si Father talaga... tamang workaholic lang naman po. Alam nyo na, para sa future."

"Dapat talaga invited ako sa kasal nyo ha?"

"Of course naman, Father!"

"Thank you, dear. Anyways, may mahalaga sana akong ipapakisuyo sayo, Sophia."

Medyo kinabahan ako, "Ano po yun?"

"Nagkikita pa ba kayo ni RJ?"

I knew it.

"Hindi na po masyado eh. I've been busy with my work po kasi."

"That explains."

"How may I be of help to you po?"

"I don't know how it will be done but I need to reach him. Is he using a different number already? I tried sending him emails too pero I don't get any response. His formator worries about him kasi hindi na nya sinisipot yung mga appointment nya with him there in Manila. Okay lang ba si RJ?"

I heaved a deep sigh, "Uhm, I think okay lang naman po si RJ. I'm free this weekend po so I may be able to check on him."

"Thank you, Sophia. Balitaan mo ako agad."

"No problem, Father."

"Kailan kayo babalik ni Gael dito sa Seoul? Magkita ulit tayo ha?"

"We're going to plan for it po. Kayo rin po, pag makauwi kayo ng Pilipinas, please tell us so we can catch up."

"Sounds great, Sophia. Osya, buh-bye na. God bless you."

"Thank you, Father. Amping!"

I heard him chuckled before the line went dead. I always say Amping. It's the Cebuano word for Take Care. Cool no?

Speaking of cool, checking up on RJ isn't cool. It will be awkward and weird or whatever you call it. But, I have to see him or at least ask about him from his parents. No. Scratch that. Kapag dinaan ko sa parents nya, they will know that we're not okay. Ugh, ano ba naman kasi tong ginagawa mo Ricardo!
