19 - Grown Ups

Zoe's POV

Tagaytay

Where are you?

Three words that I find it difficult to answer. My hands are too weak to even lift a thumb.

"Gusto mo bang ako na ang magreply?" A voice from behind startled me. "I'm sorry, nakikibasa lang hehe..." Magkakasama kami nila Maddi and Kristin ngayon. Napag-isipan kasi naming magjoyride and our unplanned day brought us here in Tagaytay. We booked a hotel to stay in overnight. Once or twice a month, we make sure na nakakapagbonding parin kaming tatlo. Maddi snatched my phone, "Ako na ang magri-reply." She keyed in something that horrified me, 

"Why did you tell him?"

"Because he asked?" Maddi raised her eyebrow. You know, she's the softest among us but when she gets like this, natatakot din ako. "C'mon Zoe, deal with a problem like a real adult. Jusme."

The three of us are sharing a room.

Kristin just got out from the bathroom and heard us and couldn't help but peep on the message, "Si RJ?"

I nodded.

"Ayusin nyo na yan," she told me. Kumuha sya ng sparkling wine and handed our goblets filled with it. "Alam nyo bang nandito si RJ sa Tagaytay?"

"Great!" Maddi squeeled. I just gave her a death glare. "What? I'm just happy that he's also here." My phone vibrated kaya napatingin kaming tatlo dito. "Nagreply, bes."

Kris read the message, "Pwede ba kitang puntahan?" The two of them are waiting for my response.

"May idea ba si RJ na nandito tayo?" A question for a question. Nakakapagduda eh.

"Zoe, he knew. Nakita nya tayo kanina."

"Eh bakit hindi mo sinabi sa akin?"

"Para namang interesado ka, bruha. I spared you."

"Zoe, umamin ka nga. Nagseselos ka ba sa girlfriend ni RJ?" Kristin earned a swat from me. "Aray naman!"

"Bakit naman ako magseselos? Tsaka hindi nya pala girlfriend si Joy."

"What?! Hoy Zoe, ayusin mo ang pagkwekwento sa amin ha. Gumugulo na itong usapin na to. Pero hindi nga, nagseselos ka ba?"
