Attack on Chandrila

Dorians, Flashback Pov

Location : Chandrila 

"I felt as though every nerve in my body was being electrocuted from the jolt I had when I shot up out of my bed from the blaring alarms coming from outside our home. "Mom-Dad" I said running out of my room meeting them in hallway. My father said "Sari, take Dorian to her room and get her dressed and down to the cellar while I make contact with the base", he didn't even give my mother or myself a chance to respond, my mother started ushering me to my room "Dori, get dressed quickly, grab your jacket and boots, come ON" she said to me. "Mom-" I tried to say but stopped when she ran out of the room, to a storage closest located in the hall, she pulled out respirators and yelled for me to hurry up. I slipped on my jacket and ran out of the hall following her down into our living room where my father was still talking to someone on the radio center. 

I wanted to know what was going on but they were busy grabbing their fighter gear. I heard the news off in our family room and thats when I saw the attack on our city, something about mirco-chips and liberation day. I heard a booming sound that shook our house so violently that everything came off the walls and shelves. My father screamed for me to go to the cellar, with hesitation I went down into the dark, dank smelling cellar and waited. My heart was pounding in my ears and I couldn't stop shaking.

 My mother and father made their way down and my mother began hooking my respirator up and onto me while my father spoke. "Dorian listen to me, you must stay here, okay. Do not come up for any reason until we return. Take this walkie, you'll have direct contact with the rebellion base on Yavin 4. You are a very special girl, who holds a power far stronger than you understand. Hold onto that power, use it for good." I looked at my father and my mother in the eyes, and I knew right then and there, they weren't coming back. After they left me in the cellar I found myself sitting on the ground, not moving, my breath wasn't heavy or loud, I eventually stopped shaking. I'm not sure why, and i'm not sure how long I was down there before the rebellion showed up and did a sweep. Then I was on a ship, and now i'm on a new planet, talking to you, General Organa."

General Organa sat across from the young Dorian, just listening to her story of what happened to her before coming to Yavin 4 with some of the young survivors of the attack. She pulled Dorian out of welcoming when they first arrived. She was sending words of encouragement and love to those who just lost everything, assuring them that they were safe and that they would receive the care they needed. As she was studying the face of the distraught, she saw Dorian, who held more composer than some of the older individuals. With Leia being a jedi herself, could feel it, this girl was strong with the force. 

"Your father was right Dorian, you do hold a power" Said the General picking up a small cup with a hot drink in it, taking a small sip. Dorian only said "I hold nothing but sorrow". The General gave a small sigh "You are wise beyond your years for a girl who is only 13-" She didn't get a chance to finish what she was saying when in stormed a young boy, a bit older than Dorian spat in a bratty tone "Mom-MOM have you seen the remote for my X-wing?!". 

"Ben, I have not seen it, and do you see that i'm speaking with someone?" she responded. The teenager called 'Ben' wasn't listening as he was rummaging around the quarters. Dorian turned her head around and watched the cute, raven haired boy who was tall for his age aggressively look for his missing remote. Dorian, for some reason then said "Have you checked the garden?". The boy stopped what he was doing and looked at her with disgust "Who are you, why are you talking to me? Mother why is talking to me?" 

The General got up and motioned for Dorian to do the same, "Son come here, I want you to meet Dorian, Dorian this my son Ben." The two of them stood in front of each other scowling at one another, before Dorian, being the mature one, stuck her hand out for Ben to shake. Ben, reluctantly held his hand out, their hands barely touched before their eyes locked and they felt a vibration pulsate through their bodies, something neither of them could explain. They quickly let go of each others hand and Ben looked away. The General said with a smile "Dorian is going to be joining you at the temple after this weekend" 

Ben derided at that statement. "Shes, not going to the temple, shes not a jedi. Look at her". Dorian felt a head rush "Wait- a Jedi..I'm not a Jedi". Before anyone could say anything a gold droid came in with a red arm "Master Ben- Oh look I have found the remote to your toy" to which Ben replied, as he took the remote "It's not a toy". The General said "Thankyou 3PO, where was it?". The droid shuffled over saying with enthusiasm "Oh princess Leia, it was in the garden of all places, can you believe it." Ben sent Dorian a nasty scowl before leaving the room. 

Dorian's face twisted with confusion, "A princess? I thought you were a General?" she asked General Organa. Leia then smiled and answered "You can be both, Dorian this is 3PO, 3PO this is Dorian, would you be a dear and inform Luke, letting him know he has a new pupil starting at the beginning of the week." The droid nodded and took off to do as told. Dorian was still for a moment, before coming to "Wait...you've got it wrong..I am not a Jedi, I'm nobody special I can't move things with my mind, or control people". Walking back to her chair and sitting she spoke "why may or may not be a Jedi, you are force sensitive, possibly a seer, which is a rare trait to carry, and being a Jedi isn't about moving things with your mind, or controlling people, in time you'll see" 

Dorian stood still as stone trying to take in everything that had transpired in her life leading her up to this point, and whatever that spark she felt when she touched Ben's hand. He life was to be changed forever.
