Moonlight From Above

CHAPTER 9

"Hey." I looked at who called me and it's Hollace, bagong gupit naks.

"Naks naman, pogi ah!"

"Maliit na bagay, wag palakihin." He laughed as we both started walking. We're on our way to our own rooms but I think ihahatid niya pa ako sa room namin. "Busy ka ba mamaya?"

We stopped infront of our door and I looked at him.

"Oo eh, grocery."

"Samahan kita?"

"Ikaw bahala." He was about to talk again when I saw our Prof coming kaya nagpaalam na ako sa kanya at pumasok na ako sa room namin.

"Mag-explain lang ako ng quiz niyo but may magbabantay naman sa inyo from section one." I looked at the student who entered and it's Caleb wearing a glasses and it only makes him more handsome.

He smiled at me as he sat at the chair for the Prof.

"Ikaw na bahala ah?" Caleb smiled at what our Prof said and nod.

Wala namang nagaganap na kopyahan sa room namin dahil kahit may ibang iresponsable wala namang nangongopya kahit gaano pa sila nahihirapan.

I looked at Caleb who's playing with his pen while watching us and then suddenly I realized something. Do I still like him? Why do I feel nothing whenever I see him? I sighed and focused at my quiz.

I saw my girl classmate named Yannie who kept on asking about the quiz to Caleb. Naka-ilang balik na siya at pakiramdam ko may gusto siya kay Caleb pero hindi ko na lamang muling pinansin 'yon at nagsagot na lamang ako.

"Busy ka ba mamaya?" Caleb asked while organizing our quizes.

"Grocery ako mamaya." I said as I give him my quiz.

"Samahan kita?" I don't know what to say... kasama ko na si Hollace tapos sasama din siya? They're good naman ata? I think?

"Yeah, sure." He smiled and he walked away from our class holding our quizes while I talked with my classmates about their answers at the quiz, comparing each other's question tapos tinitingnan kung sino may pinaka-kamukha ng sagot para malaman kung tama.

I looked at my wristwatch waiting for the bell to ring and nang tumunog ito ay lumabas na agad kami at naabutan ko sila Hollace at Caleb na hinihintay ata ako.

"Let's go?" Caleb smiled and Hollace's brows furrowed while looking at me.

"Uhmm okay lang Hollace? We'll be with Caleb?" Caleb smiled at Hollace as a sign of greeting and tumango na lamang si Hollace nang maglakad kami palabas.

"Sa kotse ko na tayo sumakay." Hollace said as he took the key at his pocket.

"Sa kotse ko nalang para hindi na hassle sayo." Caleb said and I rolled my eyes.

"Magjeep tayo!" I suggested.

"Mahihirapan tayo sa mga dadalhin." Caleb said ang Hollace just shrugged and looked at me waiting for me to decide which car should we ride.

"Kay Caleb nalang andito naman na tayo sa tapat ng kotse niya eh." Hollace clenched his jaw at pumasok sa shotgun seat at mukhang inis. Caleb opened the door at the backseat for me bago siya sumakay.

He tried to start the engine but it won't, empty gas?

"Damn it." Caleb said and Hollace chuckled.

"To my car."

Hollace is the one who's pushing the cart while Caleb and I are walking at his left side looking for foods to buy.
