CHAPTER 37

"Mommy!" I smiled after seeing Hardin and Hailey walking together and they immediately gave me a hug. "Mommy, Hardin got a perfect score in Math!"

"Wow."

"Hailey, I only got a perfect score in Math while you got everything perfect except for Math." I chuckled after realizing that their Dad's weakness when it comes on Acads is Mathematics, while i'm the one who's good in Mathematics.

"Uwi na tayo." I said they kept on talking about how's their day while we're walking until we reached the van and they immediately stepped in.

"Nasa home na si Daddy, Mommy?" Hardin asked and I shooked my head.

"He's in Manhattan remember? May client Daddy niyo don." Hollace will be coming back the day before our marriage and he also said that he badly wants to stay here in Manila but it's work and I can't do anything about it.

We stepped in our house and the two kids were so happy after seeing Callum and they immediately gave him a hug and they started talking about things. Callum is enrolled in a different school so it'll be easy for them since they moved out of the house they're now living around Makati.

Marcus is now living in a condo with Nathan and I don't have much update about how they're coping up these past few days.

"Asaan si Hollace?" Megan asked after I sat beside her.

"Manhattan, client." She slowly nod and I looked at the kids. "Where's your Kaden?"

"Busy at his company." She shrugged and started eating some chips.

"You're his secretary right?" I asked thinking of how come she's here while Kaden is working.

"I resigned puro sex nangyayari sa amin sa office."

"Megan yung bunganga mo." She laughed and she gave me a chips.

"Being his secretary is a lot of works so he decided to make me his Restaurant's manager." I nod and I was about to get some chips when I saw Marcus entered the house together with Nathan.

"Badtrip, bat ka andito Megan?"

"Pake mo? Ikaw bakit ka andito?"

"It's weekends and sobrang impyerno ng week namin ni Nate, gusto ko lang ng pahinga." He said as he sat on the sofa and pulled Nate to sit beside him. "Kuntento na ako sa tres kaya lang itong kasama ayaw na nagsesettle ako sa pasang-awa."

"Bobo ka kasi." Megan said.

"Says by someone na hindi na-pasa ESP." Marcus laughed and I just chuckled. "Saan honeymoon niyo ni kuya Hollace? Sasama niyo ba sila Hardin?"

"Susunod sila after a week namin doon ni Hollace, hindi ko nga alam kung kanino ko sila iiwan eh." Pagpaparinig ko para sila ang mag-alaga sa kambal ko.

"Iwan mo nalang sa amin." Marcus said and he looked at the two kids. "Wala naman kaming masyadong gagawin."

"Sige lang, busy na din naman si Megan eh." Tagumpay.

"Asaan si Tito Hollace, Ate Magui?" Nathan asked after he chewed some food.

"Manhattan, may client siya don, Filipino din." Tumango siya at naki-upo sa mga bata para laruin sila. I looked at Megan and she was busy on her phone. "When will you settle?"

"I have no plans on getting married, Ate. Ayoko din sundan si Callum, I don't want him to feel he's left out."

"Callum is a smart kid, he'll understand." Marcus said and Megan just shrugged.

"Baka maramdaman niya na parang magiging sabit lang siya sa pamilya namin ni Kaden at ayokong mangyari 'yon."

"Then don't make him feel like he's the last wheel in your family. Kaden is a nice guy and I know that he treats Callum as his son already." I said and she smiled at me.

"Kaden is such a nice guy, Callum even calls him Tatay na."

"Oh 'yon naman pala, give it a shot, Megan. You deserve to be free and i'm sure this is what Caleb wants for you and his son, to be both happy and settled." I smiled and looked at Marcus.

I accidentally read something on his phone and he's texting a guy named Nashien, it's Nathan's brother and I can see how Marcus jaw clenched. I only read a text saying that there's only four days left for him and Nate.

"Is there a problem?" I asked Marcus and he just shrugged and placed his phone inside his pocket.

"Wala, Nate." Nathan looked at him with a hint of innocence in his smile. He really looks so innocent, noon pa man. "We'll go home, gagabihin na tayo."

"Sige." He stood up after giving the kids a kiss and he smiled at us. "Una na kami, mga Ate."

I smiled at him and they both walked out while Marcus' arm is encircled at his waist as they both stepped out of the house. I looked at Megan and she's talking to someone through her phone.

"Callum, we'll go home na, your Tatay is home already." She said and Callum came close to her and Megan held his hand. "Say goodbye to your Tita and cousins."

He bid his goodbye to us before they left.

Late na ako nagising dahil wala namang klase ang mga anak ko kaya agad akong gumawi sa kusina at nakita kong andoon na sila at kumakain kaya naman na-upo na 'rin ako at sumabay sa pagkain.

"Mommy, water please?" Hardin said while trying to reach the pitcher and I was about to take it when he accidentally bumped his glass for water.

"Don't go down." I said and a maid came close to us together with a broom and dustpan. "I'll do it nalang po-"

Natigil ako sa pagsasalita nang may dumaplis na parte ng basag na baso sa aking talmpakan at agad akong napakagat sa labi nang mapansin ang dugo.

"Mommy, are you alright?!" Hardin said with fear visible at his eyes.

"It's bleeding!" I don't know what happened but then suddenly my gaze laid at the chair for Hollace and I can feel my heart beating so fast. The last time this shit happened was when my Dad died and damn.

The moment everything was cleaned and we're done eating I walked out of the house and walked to the garden to call my fiancé but he's not answering.

"Damn it, Hollace, pinag-aalala mo ako." I said and I kept on calling him but he's not answering the shitty phone. I sighed after my fifth call and I didn't stopped.

Palakad-lakad ako at tila hindi mapakali dahil sa tibok ng puso ko.

I tried to contact him in socials but I can't still reach him! Damn it. The moment I walked in our house I immediately called to ask for help from my friend who lives in Manhattan.

"Eunice?"

"Marga! Long time no talk, how's life?" She asked with her accent and damn I don't wanna sound rude but I just can't stop myself from avoiding her question. It's a waste of time damn it'

"Eunice, i'm sorry I need a favor." I mentioned the name of the hotel where Hollace stays and asked her to check for him.

"Sure, no problem, it's just five blocks away." She ended the call and I can't help but to move my hands on my lap trying to calm myself.

I looked at my engagement ring and I can't stop myself from worrying.

Eunice called again and she said that the Hollace already checked out from the hotel. His flight will be at morning, it's already nine PM at Manhattan and damn I can't stop myself from being so nervous or paranoid!

It'll need seventeen hours for him to go back here and maybe he's on his way right? Damn I should stop overthinking.
