CHAPTER 19

I'm swiping the table of the fastfood chain where i'm working right now and sobrang raming customers karamihan mga studyanteng mga gumagala.

"Miss, may kulang pa po." The guy with his friends called me so I came close to them while he's checking the receipt and the foods.

"Ano po yung kulang sir?" I asked.

"Kayo po." I chuckled at what he said and he smiled at me. His friends are shouting and teasing him. "Pwede po ba makuha number niyo?"

"Sorry po, hindi po eh." I smiled and bumalik na ulit ako sa paglilinis ng lamesa at nang matapos ako ay pumunta naman ako sa kabilang table para linisin naman 'yon. I smiled after seeing that the students organized the plates and utensils before leaving the table.

Mom always tells us to do this kind of kindness it's a small gestures but it can make the waiter or waitress smile. Pinunasan ko na ang table.

"Babe!" Nanlaki ang mata ko nang makita si Hollace na nakangisi sa akin at naka-upo sa table at may pagkain sa harap niya. Kasama niya si Nathan at si Nashien, kapatid ata siya ni Nathan kay Heron lang dahil hindi naman si Ate Naomi ang mama niya 'yon ang alam ko dahil nabanggit sa akin ni Hollace.

"Hollace, bawal ako maki-pagkwentuhan sa trabaho."

"Who is she? Are you dating a waitress, kuya?" The guy Nashien asked. "Why date a waitress if you can date a model or an artist?"

"Shut up Nashien pake ko sa mga 'yon."

"She can't even buy you gifts on your birthday or anniversary through her salaries. I'm betting my life that she can't even buy an iPhone." Kumalma ka, Magui. Bata 'yan, bata. He showed me his latest iPhone. Flex mo lang?

"You know what you should learn young man?" Hollace asked as he talked with his serious tone. "Is to never flex your parents' money, did you work hard for it? No, obviously because you're too young. Look at your Ate Magui, she's working to earn money while you're sitting all day getting money without doing anything? Pakinggan mo ko ah? Tsaka ka na magmalaki pag sarili mo ng pera ginagastos mo. Di ako galit ah?"

Nashien looked at me.

"You should say sorry to Ate Magui, she's very nice." Nathan said while eating his ice cream.

"Sorry." I smiled and patted his head.

"Be a good boy, Nashien." He looked at me as if there's something shining on me and his lips are parted.

"Ate Magui, can you wait for me to be eighteen so I can be your boyfriend instead of Hollace?"

"Hoy magpatuli ka muna." Hollace laughed and I rolled my eyes.

"I'll work na muna, eat well boys."

I walked out of the fastfood chain after my work and i'm so tired. I saw Hollace waiting for me alone without Nashien and Nathan.

"Why did you wait for me?"

"Obviously because I love you?" He pulled me and hold my waist while we're walking. "Magui... i've been thinking of something about us."

"What is it?"

"We don't have label." He said. "I'm not rushing things but I just want to remind you."
