CHAPTER 7

I can't have the chance to see Hollace sa party at wala naman akong nakaka-usap kaya andito lang ako sa kwarto.

I looked at my phone when suddenly it started ringing, I immediately answered it and Manang is the one calling.

"H-Hello? Magui, si Megan inaapoy ng lagnat."

"H-Ho? Hintayin niyo po ako uuwi na po ako!" I ended the call and immediately wore my short and hoodie at napansin ko ang white na visor na regalo ko kay Hollace.

"Eloisa!" She looked at me after I stepped out of the room.

"Yes?" She said as she looked at what I am wearing. "Where will you go?"

"No time to explain." I grabbed the white visor and placed it at her hand. "Give this to Hollace please?"

She nod still looking so confused as I walked out faster and I can hear some people calling me but I ignored them and when I went outside ay wala akong masasakyan! Darn!

"Magui?" I looked at Caleb who's now wearing white bomber jacket and a short looking ready to leave. "Saan ka pupunta?"

"Megan needs me." He nod.

"Sakay." He said as he opened the door and I was about to go inside when someone grabbed my wrist.

"Where will you go?" I looked at Hollace wearing the gift I gave him.

"Nagmamadali ako, Hollace eh." I shoved his hand away but he just doesn't want to let me go.

"Ihahatid kita-"

"Ako na bro kailangan ka diyan." Caleb smiled. "She'll be safe with me."

I smiled at Hollace and he removed his hold at my wrist and looked at me.

"Happy birthday, Hollace." I smiled at him and stepped in the car at agad 'yon pinaharurot ni Caleb.

My phone rang again and I immediately answered it.

"Manang?"

"P-Pasensya na Magui, hindi ka na namin nahintay dinala na namin siya dito sa hospital sa bayan."

"S-Sige po Manang malapit lang po ako diyan."

I looked at Caleb and told him where to go, the moment we arrived I immediately stepped out and started running while he's at my back.

"Manang!" I looked at Marcus crying at Manang. "W-What happened?"

"P-Pagka-uwi niya k-kasi bigla nalang siyang inapoy ng lagnat."

I closed my eyes hard hoping for Megan's safety and waited for an hour before a Doctor came out.

"Dengue." The Doctor said after I asked her about my sister's condition. "We need blood donor for her-"

"We have the same blood type! I'm willing to donate!" I said as I bite my lip after realizing that i'm scared of needles but it doesn't matter, it's me or my sister we're talking about and I won't hesitate to forget myself for her.

"Will you be okay?" I smiled at Caleb as I hold his hand and the nurse started to inject something making my eyes become teary. "Damn don't cry."

I bit my lip and while trying to rest myself while I can feel a sting but suddenly it's already gone.

"S-Samahan mo sila M-Manang." I smiled at him and he looked at me looking so hesitant. "Please?"

"Sige." He walked away while I looked above, until I fell asleep.

After a long wait ay naging okay din si Megan and nang makapasok kami sa kwarto niya ay nakita ko siyang parang nanghihina pa at nang matingin siya sa akin ay umiwas agad siya.
