Just another day at school, but Kai didn't reveal my secret, which is a good thing. Speaking of Kai, I haven't seen him around. Probably, he didn't come to school today. It's going to be lonely without Kai around.

~Lunch~

Today feels so peculiar, but I don't know why that is. Maybe because Kai isn't around. I was indecisive if I wanted tacos or burgers. Today just feels off.

Kai grasps my wrist and drags me into a classroom. Wait, I thought he wasn't here. Am I hallucinating? Kai locks the door, and it's just the two of us in the room.

I sat down on a desk while Kai was approaching me.

"Why lock the door?" I asked.

"I don't want anyone interrupting us," He smirks at me. His voice was so deep and strong and remarkably comforting. "Why do you have a diary?"

"My mom purchased one for me, and I was kind of obliged to use it. I didn't have much to write about, so I wrote about you," I explained while evading eye contact with him.

"Let me tell you something. You remind me of myself, but in the past, but it was much more dreadful than your life. Before transferring here, I was bullied at my old school, and I had no friends," Kai mentioned, and my eyes widened. Who would have thought that Kai got bullied when he was younger. Also, I would have never imagined that Kai would open to me about his past.

"So, you went from a lonely boy to a popular boy." I simplified his story.

"A popular boy that you like." Kai teased me, and now he has something to tease me about.

"Why did you choose to become popular and famous?" I asked.

"Someone told me the best revenge is to improve yourself. I improve myself by concentrating on what I love. Look at me now, I am in a better place than I was in a couple of years ago, and those people who picked on me resents doing that because I am living a better life than them," Kai explained, and his response just stuck with me.

I hopped off the desk and smiled at Kai. I was about to leave the room until Kai gripped my wrist and lured me into his embrace, hugging me. I felt butterflies kicking in my stomach.

"Don't go. I can hear your heart pounding like crazy. Stay a little longer with me," Kai whispered in a sexy deep voice. Jesus, Kai, are you trying to kill me? I could feel every single breath against my neck, running shivers down my spine.

I pinched his cheek harshly. "Keep teasing me, and your face won't be attractive anymore," I warned him. "Later, Kai." I left the room with the biggest smile on my face.
