Dear Diary || Kai [Revising & Editing]

I was chilling at my locker until someone covered my eyes with their hands. I could smell their cologne, which was a familiar scent and relieving in a way. 

"Guess who this is." A familiar voice spoke. I already knew it was Kai. 

"Kai?" I guessed, pretending that I didn't know it was him. I twirled around and faced Kai. I gave him a bright smile. 

"Are you busy after school?" Kai asked. 

"No, why?" I asked. 

"Wanna hang out?" He asked. His eyes looked so warm, comforting, kind, and inviting. 

School was over, and Kai was waiting for me outside the school gate, and I approached him. 

"Where do you want to hang out?" Kai asked. 

"Anywhere is fine by me," I said. 

"How about your house, if that's fine by you?" He suggested, and I nodded my head. 

I was thrilled, knowing that Kai wanted to hang out with me. We made our way to my house. I was shocked that Kai wanted to come over to my house. Every day feels like Kai, and I take enormous leaps into our friendship. I jingled the keys inside of the doorknob and opened the front door. 

"Mom, Dad, I'm home!" I shouted and stored my keys on the counter. 

"Kai, these are my parents and mom and dad, this is my friend Kai," I introduced them to each other. 

"Hello, Mr. Lee and Mrs. Lee." Kai greeted them. 

"Hi, Kai." They greeted back. 

"Kai and I are just hanging out today," I informed them. 

I flopped on the couch, grabbing some blankets and snuggling up on the sofa, ready to watch a movie with Kai. 

"Let's order pizza, I'll pay," I said. 

"Nah, let me pay," Kai suggested. 

"How about we spilt the price in half," I suggested. Kai had a warm heart, and that's something I like about him. Did my heart die? Why did my heartbeat become faster? 

Kai and I giggled and talked a lot as the night came rolling in. Time flies by, the next thing you already know, it was time to call it a night. My head is on Kai's lap, snuggling in his arms. My eyes closed, saying goodnight.
