You had your eyes closed when you sang.
Bofur had quit playing his flute. Everyone was quiet. Even the air around you seemed to had hold its breath.
- What a lovely song and your voice is beautiful y/n. Bilbo said.
- Oh, thank you Bilbo.
Gandalf looked a bit wondering...
- Yes, he said. That was not yesterday one heard that song.

The next day you were of to Amon sûl. Gandalf had adviced not to go up the top at dark.
You understood now why its been an important watchtower, you could see for miles in every direction.
But it was now a ruin and it was cold and the wind was quite strong.

Gandalf did find what he was searching for, sprawling runes in the stone and it did not make him happy. He spoke with Thorin, Dwalin and Balin...and they all looked so serious.
-I told no one! I said. Thorin looked worried and you did not like that.
It was scary, you were a bit afraid of him but you trusted this dwarf. And it was scary to see him worried. It was the same feeling when you saw your dad cry for the first time.

You all went down and you had no idea what the runes were saying and you could not really ask because your place in the company was not of such
character.
But you could speak to Fili, Kili and Ori. You were in their company most of the time anyway.

The company continued on the eastern country road.

- What did your father work with? Fili asked you.
- He was a historian.
- You mean like a teacher? Ori said and you nodded.
- What happened? Kili asked, I understand if you don't want to talk about it.
You were thinking a bit, a car crash was nothing they would understand here.
- It was an accident...and the horses got scared and then there was this scarp or edge you know and...well... they did not make it and I had to stay with my uncle his wife and my cousins. It never felt like home.
Its like my home died with my parents.
- We are so sorry y/n. Kili said and held your shoulder.

Thorin gave a signal for halt.
You were all standing infront of a burned down and abandoned farm.
-Who did this? Thorin asked Gandalf who was walking around in the ruins of a little house.
- Trolls. Gandals replied.
- This far from the mountains? We will not make camp here, we dont know where those trolls are and lets put some distance from them.
- Couldn't agree more.

No.
You thought, the troll cave. You had to find the troll cave. The swords...

- Fili. You hiss
- What?
- I need to go...you know...before we continue.
Fili laughed.
- Uncle. We need to make just a quickstop for y/n.
- Make it fast then. Thorin said, and take your brother with you.

- How far must you go before you go. Kili said. Hitting bushes away from his face.
- I don't need to go. You said.
- Then why did you say so? Fili said.
You stopped infront of the brothers and said.
- Because if there is trolls here there must be a cave near by. And don't trolls like steal gold and whatever that gloss and glitter?
- You did not have to fool us you know y/n. Kili smiled, we are all in to any little adventerous detour.
- Speak for yourself little brother. Fili laughed as well. Keep looking for that cave before Uncle calls for us.
- Guys...you said pointing to the ground were you all three could see big footprints.
You followed them and came to the foot of a big rock...you shove bush branches aside.
- Get behind us y/n. Fili said and he and Kili took to arms.
You were standing infront of a big door.
- We better tell the others...right? You whispered.
Fili and Kili nodded.
