The ford of the Bruinen

- Isn't it strange that if there is trouble, nasty or enthralling events it turns out to be a good story to tell...but when all is good there nothing to tell. Bilbo said as you were riding.
- Its not so strange Bilbo, who wants to hear a story that begins with a sleeping away the morning to 12 o'clock...and then a pancake brunch. You said laughing.
- Or someone just taking a day off in a field near a lake...Kili continued.
- Or hugging someone you like. Fili said and then he leaned over to you an whispered.
"About that sleeping morning..."
- You have someone special in mind for that hugging dear brother. Kili said and patted Filis back.
- You wish to know little brother.

Everything had went as it should. Bilbo got his little sword "Sting" but you were well aware that he had not named it yet.
Gandalf had his Glamdring an Thorin Orcrist. But they did not know the names of thier swords either. Elrond would tell you.
But it was a close one that they would not had got their swords, it was like you had disturbed the order here so that the story line could change from how Tolkien wrote it...or...was it Tolkiens writing that changed the reality here?
You felt a little woosy...home seemed so far gone...
- Are you allright y/n?
- Yes, Fili...just fine. And you?
- Im fine. Fili smiled
- So weird...I think I'm a bit...
- Shy? You don't need to be...
You were interrupted with a sinister howling close by.
- What was that! You gasped with fear.
- Is there wolfes here? Bilbo said.
- No. Fili and Kili said at the same time.
All the dwarves took arm as they still sat on their ponies.
- It was a warg.
And in the corner of your eye you saw something terrible big and ragged before Fili took the reins off you pony and pushed you and your pony aside and drove his sword deep in the beast that was almost close biting the head off your shoulders.
- It was a wargscout uncle. Fili took out his sword from the dead warg.
- We must seek shelter and that is fast, Gandalf! Thorin turned to the wizard.
- The ford of Bruinen is not so far away if we get pass we will be safe.
- How come Gandalf? Thorin asked
- Its waters are under the power of Lord Elrond.
- Elves. Thorin said with a frown
- There is no time for old unjust. Gandalf responded Thorin.

And of you all went, galloping ponies.
You and Bilbo rode behind Gandalf And Balin.
At your side Bofur and Bifur rode and on Bilbos side the was Bombur.
Behind you Oin and Gloin and behind them Nori, Ori and Dori. And at the end of you galloping tail of ponies rode Fili, Kili, Dwalin and Thorin.

You were well aware that you and Bilbo were placed near the wizard and Balin in the front for both your safety as well as the others, the assumptions was that you could not fend for yourself and therefore could put you all in danger.
Thorin was probably right about that.
When you came closer to the ford the terrain got more open and free from trees and bushes.
Then you could see them, the wargs and the orcs riding them. Your belly twisted with fear and your heart was pounding so hard you were afraid it would pop out of your chest.
- Dont look behind you little rabbit! Bofur yelled, Just ride!
You bent closer down to your pony as you felt an arrow whis over your head.
How far away was that ford?!
You prayed that everybody would be ok and you thought of Fili.
You could hear swords in the air and that awful sound when the blades met flesh.

But sudden your pony was  treading on sand and water...the ford of Bruinen. You made it!
And someone took your reins and you looked up and it was Fili.
- Are you well y/n?
You nodded.
You were all safe, no one was hurt, just some small cuts as you could see and you felt such joy and had to laugh in relief.
Then as you saw the  disappointed orcs screaming in anger on the otherside of the ford you came to think about a line in one of your favorite movies and you just had to...so you screamed as loud as you could.
"HEY ORC PACK! LOOKS TO ME LIKE YOU'RE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE RIVER!
