I don't know how long time has gone by, but I can guess it's close to late afternoon or early evening. My back is kind of sore, I can hear Kirara's breathing and the expanding of her body as she inhales and exhales. The quietness and the rhythmic flow is starting to make me feel drowsy.

"Inuyasha, what time of day is it?" I ask him.

"It's close to evening now. Is something wrong?" He answers me back.

"Not much. We travelled a long time didn't we?" I say with a smile.

"Ya you're right. Are you tired?" He asks me.

"I am feeling a bit drowsy. Do you want to take a rest? Let Kirara touch the ground for a bit?" I suggest.

"Sure, my bottom is getting sore." Inuyasha says with a stretch.

"Thank goodness you said it, because mine is too. Let's take a rest Kirara." I say patting her neck fur.

I hear her let out a low "grr" then we begin to descend downwards, I can feel my hair going upwards, my body leans backwards upon the momentum, Inuyasha's arms wraps tightly around me . I close my eyes as Kirara soon lands on the ground. Inuyasha jumps off and he takes hold of my left hand, I slide off of Kirara, my legs feel wobbly. Guess being off the ground for so long can have its effects. With Inuyasha's hand holding mine, the grass rustling beneath our feet and Kirara by our side, the three of us walk through of what I assume an open field. I can hear birds chirping above us as we walk in serenity.

"It's been quite a while since the two of had something interesting going on in our life." I say.

"You could say that again, but everyday is enjoyable when we're together. It's nice to actually go out of the village and go somewhere far, I haven't used my Tessaiga in a while." Inuyasha responds back.

"I hope that you won't be using that sword when we find the goddess." I mention.

"Well, if she doesn't do something that I like, then maybe I will." Inuyasha states.

"Inuyasha, don't you even think about it." I say with a grumble.

I hear Kirara grumble beside as well. I giggle and I turn my ahead towards her.

"I'm guessing you get annoyed by him too right?" I ask her with a giggle.

She responds with a quiet grr.

"Have you thought about your future?" I ask Inuyasha.

"Well not really, I mean, I'll be living for years to come so there's no point on thinking about the far future when tomorrow hasn't even come yet." He responds.

"I suppose you have a point, but life is full turning points. It's nice to have something to look forward to but also be prepared for anything that may ruin our goal." I tell him.

"Eh, I'm not scared of the unexpected, and you shouldn't either." He says with a yawn.

"I wish I could, but I'm not like you remember?" I say reminding him with a smile.

"I don't really care about that, I'm here with you so you don't have to be afraid." Inuyasha assures me.

He gives my hand a gentle squeeze, and I squeeze his hand back to let him know that I took his words to heart. I just hope that we can stay together till the end of time. After walking on feet for a good hour or so and eating something, we get back onto Kirara and head off into the sky again. The air has turned slightly colder to let me know that the sun has gone down and night has arrived. We travel for another hour or two, before we decide to call it a day. Inuyasha guides Kirara to a quiet area, I sit down on the cool grass with Kirara beside me. She's back to her small kitten form, I glide my hand along her back, I can hear her quietly purring on the left of me. Inuyasha has gone to get some firewood, I close my eyes and tilt my head upwards towards the sky.
