I hold my breath as I listen the sounds around us, my heart is beating very fast from the nervousness and anticipation.

"Well, we followed the fallen petals of cherry blossoms from the trees outside of the Shrine. From the guidance, we found this place, we knocked and the door opened. No one answered and since it was a shrine we wanted to explore and see who this Shrine belonged to." I finally tell the person.

"I see, tell us what is your purpose after knowing the owner?" The man asks us.

His voice seem to echo through the large room. I can feel Inuyasha's presence keeping close.

"We're looking for a goddess named Konohanasakuya. We saw carved statues outside the shrine of a female figure and following the cherry blossoms , connecting the clues we thought that this is perhaps her shrine. The woman behind me is my lover and she had a vision that Konohanasakuya is in the village or near the village. We came from a far away village to come find her, hoping that she can help us with something." I hear Inuyasha explain our intentions to the person.

There's a brief silence, I wait anxiously for the opposite's response.

"You're a demon aren't you? You would be able to sense if there's such presence of an higher entity residing here. Since you haven't met anyone else, you may leave." The person says, his voice sounding cold and defensive.

"You don't look like a priest or anything from the way that you are dressed. Who are you?" I hear Inuyasha ask back with slight irritation.

"I have asked you prior who you were, are you willing to tell me your names? The male asks.

I think we should at least tell him who we are, that way this tension of animosity can at least disperse a little. Well, at least I feel like I should leave a decent impression.

"Excuse our rudeness, we should at least introduce ourselves since we did intrude on what I assume a spiritual and private property. I'm____________, we mean no harm or any kind of malicious intent." I tell him with a bow.

I search for Inuyasha's left sleeve, and find the soft fabric and gently give it a tug. I feel him gently swatting my hand away, seems like he doesn't want to follow me. I mentally sigh.

"I appreciate you telling me who you are. At least your lover here knows manners unlike you, dog demon." I hear him reply.

I can sense Inuyasha tensing up slightly, he just got offended. I can hear him let out a low throaty grumble. Please don't escalate this, please don't escalate this, please don't esc...

"Grrr what did you just call me?!" Inuyasha spat out with irritation.

Guess I should have expected it, I mean, it's Inuyasha. I placed my left hand to my forehead.

"Well since you seem reluctant to tell me your name, I have no other choice but to call you by what you are, you're a demon sensing from your aura, and from the white ears, you're a dog. So in that case, you're a dog demon. Or do you prefer the term "mutt?" I hear the person say with amusement in his voice.

Don't take the bait, Inuyasha, don't take th...

"Mutt?! Why you, you want a fight? I'll fight you whatever you are." I hear Inuyasha spat out.

I then feel him shift beside me and then the sound of sharp metal sliding against each other. Great, Inuyasha's hyped. I mentally sigh again out of frustration. Guess Inuyasha is planning on getting his "entertainment." But from the sound of the person's voice, he doesn't sound intimidated or worried. I don't think I worry for the male, I'm more worried about Inuyasha. I grab onto his sleeve again and turn my face towards his direction, my eyes are wondering around out of worry.
