A while later

She was in the car on the way home when messages started coming in from Crista. Without opening it, Talia took a sneak peek at what it says. "How about Friday night at Hype?" it read, mentioning the name of another club in town. Usually, Talia would open and reply it immediately, but this time, she thought, why hurry? I mean, she never replies instantly either. Talia realized.

"After this I'll be picking your parents up from the airport." the driver said, diverting her attention. "Uh, yeah, go ahead." Talia replied. She imagined what she would do as soon as her mom and dad arrived. Not gonna lie, they'll be so shocked. Talia assumed. About what?

Everything.

She would tell them about her feelings and the secret stash of cigarettes she hid in her bedroom, and she'd tell the reason why she had it. She'd probably get grounded after it, but at least she was being honest. "I don't think they're gonna be able to talk after that." Talia said to herself, but if her parents cared for her like they said they did. I'm sure they'll understand.
