"Alex?"

I groaned as Mr. Irwin stopped leaning in towards me. I was inches away from kissing him! Inches away from having those lips being pressed up against mine. "What?" I snapped looking over Mr. Irwin's shoulder to see a tall blonde standing in the door way with a smile on his cocky face.

"Well, sorry for interrupting," Luke finished throwing me a wink and walking out. I sighed and shook my head. If he just waited one more second. Just one more second, I would've had at least one kiss from Mr. Irwin!

I suddenly felt the warmth leave my body so I looked up and saw Mr. Irwin backing away from me chuckling to himself. I looked up at him confused, "What's so funny?"

He down at me from the new distance, "I almost just kissed Luke's girlfriend. What the hell is wrong with me?" he muttered the last part to himself, running his fingers through his tangled hair. I sighed and rolled my eyes. There's that word again. I am not Luke's girlfriend!

"I'm not his girlfriend." I stated making him look up at me, "I am not dating him romantically. Yes, I kissed him. But you know what? We almost kissed. Kissing somebody does not mean you're together!"

He smirked, "You're absolutely right." He came closer to me, but still keeping a safe distance. Gosh, I didn't know how much longer I could take this. I wanted his lips on mine right now. "We almost kissed."

I rolled my eyes, "Clearly."

He laughed, "Well aren't you a feisty one?" he stepped a little closer, testing the boundaries. Little did he know, that I didn't have any when it came to him. All I wanted was him; not Luke. Luke was the last thing on my mind. He kind of ruined my kiss, so I was pretty pissed at him.

"Oh, you have no idea," I said smiling innocently to him. He bit his lower lip and scanned over my body with his deep hazel colored eyes. "So, are you just going to stand there staring, are we going to do something, or just leave? I kind of need to know." I didn't know where the confidence came from, but it surprised me.

He came very close to me now, just like we were before Luke barged in, "See, Alex," he started lifting my chin up so I was looking at him, "I want to do many things with you right now, but, sadly, Luke needed you for something. And me, being the nice kind-hearted man I am, will let him have his time with you."

I rolled my eyes, "Luke can contact me whenever he wants. I don't need to give him anymore time."

"I can contact you whenever I want," he stated smiling down at me, "Now, go on and figure out what he wants. If he is gone by now, come back in here so we can finish."

At a loss for words, I nodded. I don't know where my confidence went, but it flew out the window. Mr. Irwin slowly backed away from my body and let me push past him. I pulled open his door and turned to look over my shoulder, seeing him staring at me with a smirk on his lips. I sighed and shook my head after shutting the door.

"There you are!" Luke said rushing up to me with a huge smile, "How was it?"

I groaned, "You sound like Sarah. But no. We didn't even kiss because a certain attractive blonde stepped into the room and interrupted the kiss that I was waiting for. Why Luke?" I asked looking up at him.

"I didn't realize what was happening until after I called your name. Well, why are you out here talking to me then if you two didn't kiss? Get your ass back in there and makeout with Ash." he said grinning at me.

"He told me to talk to you since you called for me!"

He sighed, "I'm sorry, Alex," he gave me a nice smile, "Come on, I'll make it up to you."

"How?"

"There's a party being thrown at my house, and you're going to come. Bring your friend Sarah, I want to meet her," he finished smiling at me. I nodded my head and laughed. I knew Sarah would be begging me to say yes, so I figured I would do her a favor and take her to this party with mea.

"Fine, just because she'll like you."

"That's the only reason?" Luke asked raising his eyebrows at me.

"It's not like I want to go by myself to your party," I simply said rolling my eyes, trying to make myself seem honest.

"No, you want to hook up with that fine piece of-"

"Luke! Hey buddy," his voice made me jump in surprise. My heartbeat was racing so I placed a hand on my chest, feeling the fast rhythm of my heart. "What're you doing here?"

"Just came to invite Alex to the party," Luke said slinging his arm over my shoulder pulling me tight against him. Mr. Irwin looked at me then back at Luke.

"Oh great," he said with a smile, "Are you coming?"

I nodded, "I think I might stop by."

He nodded, "Well, I just wanted to see if Alex made it out okay because she didn't return, so I was expecting you to take care of her," he directed that towards Luke.

Luke nodded, "Oh, she's all yours dude," he said letting go of my shoulder, "I got to head back anyway, Michael is bugging me about dinner."

Mr. Irwin laughed, "Okay, see you at the apartment." Luke leaned down and lifted my chin so I was looking into those deep ocean blue eyes. I could melt.

"See you tomorrow," he whispered giving me a small peck on my lips, causing me to blush knowing my teacher was standing right there watching. "Have a great night," he whispered in my ear and threw me a wink when he pulled away from my body.

Luke left without saying another word, leaving me and Mr. Irwin standing in the hallway in silence. Well, this was awkward. "Uh, well, I need to go see Sarah," I finally broke the silence looking to Mr. Irwin who had his fists clenched up and his eyes were very dark.

"Oh, of course. I'll see you later, Alex," he said giving me a fake smile.

"Is something wrong?" I questioned.

He just laughed and held his head down shaking it, "No, not at all." I waited a little, knowing he would crack in a second or two, "Luke's a good guy. Be careful though, he likes to play a lot."

"Luke and I have nothing going on," I cleared up still looking at him, "We talk a lot, but that was nothing. We're pretty close, but not lovey-dovey stuff."

He laughed, and finally meet my eyes, "I'm glad to hear that."

I nodded and finally decided it was the right time to leave. I turned to walk away, but Mr. Irwin suddenly grabbed my upper arm and turned me around, "We are not finished by the way," he whispered lowly staring right into my eyes.

He let go of me and let me leave. I was still shaken by his words, but tried to carry myself confidently. As I was walking out of the building, I could literally feel his eyes on me, so I turned to look at him and give him a smile.

Well, tomorrow was going to be an adventure.
