(One Month Later)

The constant sound of vibrating caused me to wake up. I rolled over to see my phone lighting up. Sarah was calling me. I grabbed it, pressing the answer button. Once I put it to my ear, I was automatically regretting answering this call. "ALEXXXX, IT'S BREAK TIME!"

"Sarah, shut up. I have a headache." I sighed as I got up and leaned against the wall. Last night was our last day of school before we started break so I hung out with Ashton. And well, we got completely wasted.

(A/N: flashbacks are in bold)
"Come on Alex, I got you. I won't let you get hurt! Plus, Luke and I always go to this place. There's usually no problems here." he said begging me to go with him to a local pub. I didn't mind the idea, I just wanted to see him beg.

"I guess I can go." I said with a smile as he hopped into his car waiting for me to get in. I was expecting to get a few drinks and then leave, but a few drinks turned into twenty.

"Ashhhhh, I lost my shoe," I said as I grabbed onto his arm, helping me steady myself. I was completely wasted, and I couldn't deny it. "Can we dance?" I slurred as I looked up at him with pleading eyes. He was slightly more sober than me, but not by much. He stumbled over his feet as we headed to the dance floor. It was crowded today, but we seemed to make it through just fine. An hour later, we finally decided to leave. Luke had to come pick us up since we were far too drunk to even attempt to start the car. It was one fun night.

"Did you even hear me, Alex?" Sara's voice interrupted my thoughts. I rolled my eyes and just said nothing. She knew I was day-dreaming, so I didn't need to make an excuse. "We're going to the beach today."

"Since when do you make the choice for me?"

She laughed, "Invite the lads, and just shut up. I'll pick you up in an hour!" Great, now I have to call Ashton and tell him we're all going to the beach. Luke, Calum, Michael, and himself have to show up, otherwise Sara will be mad. Her and Luke have been trying to talk, and it seems to work. She hangs out with Ashton, Luke, and myself all the time. Like at a gig, or a band practice.

"Here, put this one on. We will be matching." he handed me a red bandana and a 5 Seconds of Summer shirt. It was his of course, but I was going to my first gig of theirs, so I was excited. I slipped on the bandana and tied the shirt so it fit me better. "You look so gorgeous in my clothes," he whispered pressing his lips roughly on mine. I giggled and pulled away, making him pout.

"You have to practice before we leave. No funny business," I warned sending him a wink as I walked out his bedroom. I called Sara a few minutes ago telling her about the gig and that she should come support them. She agreed, telling me she was starting to get more comfortable around Luke and everybody. I walked into Luke and Ashton's kitchen, grabbing a banana before heading to their living room. Suddenly, I heard a crash from upstairs and got to my feet. What did he do this time? "Ash?" I poked my head in his 'drumming' room and saw a piece of his drums lying on the floor.

He smiled at me innocently, "I think I banged them a little too hard," he got up to fix his drums as I watched from the door way. For the past few weeks, I've noticed a huge change in his physical appearance. He gained so much more muscle, which I didn't even think was possible. As my mind drifted off, I didn't even noticed he was standing in front of me. "Hey! That was my last banana!" he said looking down at my hands.

"Too bad," I stuck my tongue out as I took a bite, showing off. We always acted like children, but that's what made us last. Nothing was too serious, so we knew how to have fun. That's what a relationship is all about.
