The bright sunshine was blinding my eyes as I squinted around the room, remembering the events from last night. The first being, I had a new boyfriend. Secondly, my mum was planning on moving back to London in the future. Of course I had a big decision to make, but right now, I wanted to focus on the present. I just started a brand new relationship that I was bound to make last.

Just as I started to think about my new handsome boyfriend, my started to ring. I sat up and rubbed my eyes a few times before reaching over to the nightstand to pick up the object. I looked at the caller ID before answering. It was Ashton. "Hello?" I answered holding the phone between my ear and shoulder as I ran my fingers through my hair.

"Hey babe."

"What's up?"

"You promised me a date today, so I'm going to pick you up in thirty minutes. You cannot whine on this date since I want it to be nice and quiet." he warned with a chuckle. I rolled my eyes even though he couldn't see me. I figured he would know I would do that since I hated surprises.

"Fine," I sighed out as I got up off of my bed and walked over to my closet, pulling out some warm sweaters. Even though it was April, it was getting a little chilly for my liking. "See you soon." I hung up the phone, not waiting to hear his response and threw it back onto my bed. I pulled out my black Nirvana sweater and placed it on my shoulder, now looking for a pair of skinny jeans. I finally just decided on some black, ripped, skinny jeans after looking through the various denim in my closet.

After I finished changing, I went to do my makeup and fix my hair. I haven't worn my hair down in a while, so I decided to go for that new look. I let my natural, wavy, hair fall past my shoulder and brushed it out so it was nice and flowing. I then decided just to apply some eyeliner and mascara, not having enough time to put on some eye shadow. Plus, Ashton has already seen me with no makeup, so this wasn't even that bad.

I grabbed my phone off of my bed and slipped it into my pocket and went to grab my converse. I carried my shoes in my hand as I closed my bedroom door and went downstairs to see my mum crashed ontop of the couch. I sighed and set my shoes down gently. I walked over to her spot and grabbed a random blanket and placed it over her curled up body. I got clearly see the tear stains along her cheeks, knowing she cried herself to sleep again.

I kissed her cheek before going into the kitchen, slipping on my shoes before Ashton arrived. As I finished up tying one shoe, I felt my phone vibrate. Perfect timing.

I quickly grabbed a post-it and wrote down I was out with Sara. My mum would freak out if she woke up with no one in this house. I hated lying to my mum, but I couldn't risk having my dad come home and see that I'm out with a boy. He is irritated enough with this situation, so bringing Ashton into this wouldn't make anything better.

Nothing could make this better.

"Finally, I was sitting here dying of boredom." he said dramatically as he pulled out of my driveway and started to drive down the street.

"Oh whatever you big baby," I said punching his arm lightly and I chuckled. He looked over at me with a pout on his face, but it only made me laugh harder, "You look like a cute little puppy."

He glared at me, "I'm not cute, I'm handsome. I'm very manly."

I patted his shoulder, "Whatever you say," I smiled at him and he copied my actions. His eyes drifted back to the road, making sure we didn't crash. "So, I'm guessing this is a secret as well?"

He quickly glanced at me with a smirk, "Of course. I never tell my date where we're going. The suspense is the best part."

"One of these days, a girl is going to think you're a murderer with all these secrets."
