Alex

The flowers were shoved into my hands and I took notice to the delicate lacing around them. "Are you ready to go?" My mum's voice rang through my ears as she pushed my back. "Time to get going! We don't want to be late. Let's go, let's go."

"Mum, please," I pleaded as I looked at Sarah for help, but she was too busy feeding the little baby in her arms. Her baby had blonde hair and bright blue eyes, identical to Luke.

"No, we need to go! We've delayed this day for years and now you're getting scared again, aren't you?" she asked me as I sat down looking at the flowers again.

"Mum, I wasn't delaying this I was simply waiting for the right time. We both were busy with Elijah and everything else that was going on." I replied, hoping it would clear things up to why I waited. But my mum was also right; I was scared to settle down.

"Now is the perfect time so let's get this show on the road," my mum pushed me towards the doors again and grabbed Sarah's hand, "You two girls look so beautiful."

I smiled, "Thanks mum," I kissed her cheek as Sarah pushed past us and walked out before us. Since my dad was not here, my mum is to walk me down the aisle but I wasn't one to complain. I preferred this. "I'm ready," I whispered to myself as I saw Sarah disappear and I heard the music pick up, signaling it was my turn to walk.

My mum's grip tightened as we approached the doors leading me to the man I loved. It's been three years since the night he asked me to marry him and the suspense was always there. We never planned a date, we just picked one when I was ready. I looked up at all the faces in the crowd but it was hard to see everybody since they were standing up. My white dress seemed to weigh me down because I was stuck on the spot. My eyes locked with Ashton's and that's what made me frozen.

His hazel eyes were glued onto mine as we shared such passion it seemed to illuminate the whole room. His pink lips lifted up in a huge smile as he gazed at my figure. He looked back at me and his smile grew brighter in that moment. His eyes seemed to fill with tears, so that made me follow in his footsteps. My mum reached over and wiped the tears with her hand and began pulling me down the isle to meet the love of my life standing before me.

"Thank you for letting me marry your beautiful daughter," Ashton said to my mum as he grabbed my hand and helped me up the step. He gently kissed my cheek and it said everything. It summed up his love for me and my love for him.

And so, that night, we were officially husband and wife.

The after party was where the fun was. Our three year old son, Elijah Thomas Irwin, was so happy he was apart of the wedding and seemed to enjoy the dancing that happened after the ceremony. He really enjoyed hanging out with his Uncle Luke. Sarah was busy holding the baby and she didn't get to talk to me until I made my way over to her.

"Thank you for being my maid of honour," I said sitting down next to her and grabbing her baby from her so she could have a break.

"Oh no, don't thank me for that! You guys are perfect." she said smiling at both Luke and Ashton as they joked with each other. "I'm so glad we both found them."

I sighed and looked at my husband, "Me, too. I'm glad I took English that year," I laughed with Sara as we both continued to talk about how we both met these two crazy boys.

"How is it that I got married before you? You had a kid before me but I had a husband before you," she laughed again. I nodded with a big smile on my face as I lifted her baby girl in the air and played with her.

"Go dance with Lucas," I said to her as a slow song came on. Ashton had Elijah in his arms as they danced. I smiled at how cute they looked and how much he looked like Ashton. He had the curly brown hair and the bright eyes.

With the baby in my arms and looking at how beautiful our family was, I realized something. Maybe we should have a bigger family. Did Ashton want another baby or was one enough? The future was unpredictable.

Once we arrived home, I put Elijah in his bed because he fell asleep in the car. I kissed him goodnight and headed back downstairs and greeted my now husband who was sitting on the couch, exhausted.

"You are so beautiful, Alex," he whispered kissing my lightly and pushing the hair away from my face, "I don't know what I would do without you! I would be a no-good drummer."

I laughed, "You're a great drummer and I love you," I kissed him once and proceeded to cuddle on the couch with him as we watched a movie on the TV. "Ash, do you want more kids?" I asked not moving from my spot against his chest.

He shifted so he was looking down at me, "Wait, what?"

I sighed, "Do you want more kids?"

He laughed, "What kind of question is that?"

"A question that's easy to answer," I said softly getting up from the couch and going to grab a glass of water. I sipped on it as he walked into the kitchen. "Look, I'm sorry for asking that question right now. I know we just had a kid, well not just but still, I just wanted to know for the future."

He shook his head and laughed, "Are you kidding me? How could I ever say no about another kid?" He grabbed my hips and hauled me up on the ledge and kissed my nose lightly before kissing me softly on my lips.

Just as he was about to continue things, we were interrupted by a small voice, "Mummy, daddy?" Elijah whispered rubbing his eyes with a tired voice.

I hopped off the counter and went over to him and lifted him up, "What is it, buddy?" He tucked his head in my shoulder and closed his eyes once again.

"I want baby brother," he whispered.

Ashton smiled at the both of us, "Don't worry, buddy. You'll have a baby sister or brother soon," Ashton gave me a wink as he took our son from my arms and carried him back to bed.

Our family was finally complete and we were taking it one step at a time into making it even more perfect.

Maybe a little forbidden love was all we needed.
