"Sophie... Sophie?"
Sophie's bleary eyes saw Grady and Edaline sitting beside her on her bed.
"Huh?" she asked, shaking her head so that the last wisps of grogginess would go away.
"Your friends are waiting for you downstairs." Was all Edaline said before she and Grady left the room.
Sophie stumbled down her bed, and chose a rose embroidered tunic, with a rose gold cape.
But when she reached the end of the stairs, Grady and Edaline were waiting for her.
"Sophie, we're reall -" Grady started to say, but Sophie silenced them with a hug.
The guilt had been affecting everything. Even the love toward her parents. But now that was gone. And Sophie was so so glad.
"What is everybody doing here?" Sophie asked, pulling away with new energy.
"They just want to discuss what to do about the cache," Edaline informed her.
"And the Council is here," Grady added.
Sophie sighed. Even though her guilt was gone, a remnant still remained. But that was probably expected. And it'd be plenty humiliating when they would tell the Council.
"Will you guys be there?" Sophie finally replied.
"Whatever you want kiddo," Grady strangled her with a hug. "We're here for you."
Sophie nodded. Having some support would offer comfort. And she was taking all of the comforts she could get.
"And do you want me to bake a tray of Custard Bursts? Or Mallowmelt? Anything." Edaline suggested.
Sophi agreed. It felt like Edaline and Grady was trying to make up for before.
"Butterblasts maybe?" Edaline persisted.
"I'll ask everybody what they want," Sophie said. "If that's okay with you."
Edaline nodded. "Of course."
"Personally, I'm voting on Mallowmelt," Grady stage-whispered into Sophie's ear. She smiled.
