"Court? What are you still doing in here?" Shayne had discovered the blonde in the back room of the mythical office.
Her figure was slouched forward in her chair, her chin resting on the table, her laptop only inches away from her face. The screen read 'Every Friend Ever' and a script followed.
"Writing." Courtney responded in a dull monotonous tone, not moving an inch as she stared plainly at her screen.
Shayne circled the table and leant against the desk beside her to read the document she had up on the laptop. "Ah, you're head writer on this huh?"
"Yep." Courtney let out a long sigh as she sat back in her chair and slightly kicked back so the desk chair wheeled away from the desk. Her head hung back in pure exhaustion.
"Have you been doing this all day?" Shayne questioned her. "Everyone's heading out now. I'm locking up." He explained.
"It's almost done. I have one more scene to write, I promise. I'll lock up if you wanna head home?" Courtney sat forward now and composed herself from her sluggish posture.
He watched her as she pushed herself back under the desk and began scrolling through what she had already written. "Need help?" Shayne offered. "I've got no place to be."
"Sure. I've got writers block, you wanna read through the shit I've already got?" Courtney pushed the laptop towards him and he moved to sit down beside her in a nearby chair.
While his eyes scanned the page Courtney watched his facial expressions change. They started focused and serious and as he read he'd let out a puff of air passing as laughter and sometimes a full on laugh. Towards the end he leant back and smiled across at her curiously.
"You hate it." She stated giving him a small smile.
"It's great, Court. It just needs that last part finishing." Shayne shrugged. "Seriously, it's really good..."
"Thank you." Courtney excepted the praise and took the laptop into her hands again.
"What's the final scene meant to be?" Shayne asked.
"When I spoke with Monica earlier we planned for a kind of funny bit where friends become more than friends. Maybe like friends with benefits or just friends that are overly flirty but aren't a couple." Courtney explained to him as she showed him the outline she'd spoken to Monica about.
"How about you play on like a group of friends... two of them clearly have built up sexual tension and flirting going on but one of the friends just stands up and is like 'Will you just f**k already?'" Shayne laughed at his own joke.
"That's pretty good." She started to type out a few lines and then looked back at Shayne. "They could be like always touching one another or flirting with one another in public places but then when any of their friends suggest they date they get grossed out by it."
"Yes!" Shayne agreed as she began typing faster trying to get her thoughts down on paper quickly. "It could finish with them either admitting they have feelings for each other and making out or take the weird route and they both actually hate each other."
"I think it's kind of Smosh to end it with just this really gross, over the top, make out scene." Courtney laughed continuing to get the ideas down on the script.
