A TRIP TO REMEMBER

Beverly is helping me to pack the things I will bring for the trip. It is the first time she steps into my room ever since we got here.

Wala kasi akong pinapasok na iba dito kundi si Drew lang. And Nay Matilda used to leave my food outside my door.

"Isn't that too much? Isang araw lang naman, babalik din kami kinabukasan." puna ko ng medyo napaparami na ata ang pag-salpak ni Beverly ng damit sa maliit na bag na dadalhin ko.

As much as possible gusto ko na kaunti lang ang dalhin. Maybe two pair of clothes will do.
"Sobra na ba? Sige bawasan naten." she started to pull some excess clothes she put inside.

Tinira niya ang isang shorts at jeans pati na ang dalawang top.
"Kailangan na din naming mag-ayos ng mga gamit kasi flight na natin papuntang States kinagabihan pagka-balik nyo. Ituro mo sakin kung ano yung mga damit na gusto mong isama sa luggage mo para mahanda na namin."

I feel bad suddenly dahil habang magliliwaliw ako ay sila ang magiging abala dito. Hindi man lang ako nakakatulong.
"Bakit hindi nalang tayo mag-impake ngayon? Bukas pa naman ang alis namin ni Wade." suhestyon ko.

"Bakit mo naman biglang naisip yan?"

Napabuntong hininga ako at umupo sa kama katabi niya.
"I just want to help. All along naging masyado akong pa-importante sa inyo. Noon pa kahit nung nasa dating bahay pa tayo. You guys always take care of me. And I know it hasn't been that easy for all of you na makita ako sa hindi magandang sitwasyon sa buong tatlong buwan."

"Bree, wag mong isipin yan. All along we've been so fond of you. We love to keep you beside us. And yes, I must admit na naging mahirap sa amin ang mga nagdaang buwan dahil nag aalala kami sayo. But, let's just move on. Ang mahalaga ay eto ka na."

I could never ask for more. Hindi ako nagkamali ng sinabi kong isang pamilya na kami. I've got Nay Matilda as our loving mother who feeds us with here healthy and delicious foods. I've got Tristan as my jolly brother who never failed to make us smile. And I've got Beverly as my older sister who always supports me in everything I'm going through.

I'm starting to believe sa kasabihan na kapag may nawala ay may darating. Maybe even better. Though there are times I still wish that my family is still here. But I must focus on what I have right now, at sa ngayon sila ang pamilya ko.

I hugged Beverly and thank her. I'm glad that the night before the party wasn't the last time I got to hug and thank her. Cause I don't think I could thank her enough for everything.

And we spent the remaining hours of the day packing clothes I want to bring with me. A pink luggage is where we placed all my things.

Honestly, I didn't packed that much clothes. Mostly ang laman ng maleta ko ay mga kagamitan and the box of photos I got from my old house.

Kinalaunan ay kumain na kami ng hapunan. Wade is with us, this is probably the 2nd time around he joined us on a meal. The first time was on their house resort.

"Dapat by afternoon on the way na kayo sa airport dahil traffic nako. Maiiwan kayo ng eroplano kapag nahuli kayo. 8 pm ang flight pero mas magandang maaga kayo makarating para sigurado." a few reminders from Nay Matilda.

Hearing this kinda gives me chills. After all, I still can't believe we are now leaving the country where I grew up. I never thought na makakalabas ako ng bansa not until I've got a stable job and earning money.

Wendy decided this to be able to start a new chapter for all of us. Especially for me. I got lucky enough that I landed on their arms because they fully embraced me to their family.
