It was dark outside when I got home, even if it was only 6 pm. I was greeted by the smell of peanut butter cookies before I walked into the dining room and found my mom and dad decorating the Christmas tree.
" Hey!" My mom said before hanging a golden sphere on the tree.
" Hey! Guess what," I said, shrugging my jacket off. " I'm officially in a band called Drea's Last Words."
" Awesome, glad you'll be getting out more. I was starting to worry," My dad said, hanging a small red ornament on a higher branch.
Truth be told, I have no friends (other than Emily). With all the free time I have, I do nothing but sit in my room and follow bands and upload videos. My parents think it's awesome that I'm into music, just like my mom was when she was my age, but they still think it's unhealthy to be alone so much.
" I think I'll go take a shower. It's been a long day. We recorded and uploaded our first cover and then I gave the guys a make-over," I said and hugged my parents goodnight.
After taking a long shower and laying in bed, I thought about our first band practice over and over again. We decided to start covering famous "screamo" songs to get a larger audience and Aidan chose the first song.
One thing I will never admit out loud is that hearing Aidan's growls was super hot. I missed my cue twice and definitely not because I was gawking at the violent beauty of his voice.
Josh on the other hand did the singing which was just as impressive. Unlike Aidan, Josh didn't have a deep rumbly voice. He had a much higher tone which contrasted Aidan's screams perfectly.
Our first cover was Can You Feel My Heart by Bring Me The Horizon and we got off to a good start with all the promoting we did on social media.
Everything was fun, especially the make-over part after the video. I was wondering how many people would recognize the four guys with long hair and no face on our next cover. All of them looked totally different after I changed them.
Aidan had mysterious dark brown eyes and thick eyebrows which gave him a dangerous and beautiful look, just like his personality. At first glance, he was a decent guy. To find the real beauty in him, you had to examine his features for a while before the perfect jawline and full lips made you gasp. There was something beautiful about his anger.
If there was an opposite to him, his name was Josh. He had happy light brown eyes which made him look boyish and permanently amused. For his hair, I used Leonardo DiCaprio look as inspiration, which Josh pulled off like a second nature. I have to admit, I found him the most attractive out of all the guys.
Moving on.
Phillip was a mixture of a babyface and a freaking Aidan. His piercing green eyes were the first thing I noticed once his hair no longer hid them from the world. The second thing I saw was the nose piercing. His dark hair was cut short and he asked me if it was a good idea for him to get blonde streaks. I told him to go for it, even though I was still mesmerized by his long eyelashes and stunning eyes.
Then there was Carter. I wasn't sure what to expect with him, but the model-like angel hiding under the blonde hair was certainly not the same kid I remembered from elementary school. Carter had electric blue eyes and a nose piercing similar to Phillip's, plus his ears were stretched a little, which I found kinda cool. Carter was the rare kind of gorgeous that made the people next to him sad.
I could tell the guys were in shock after seeing themselves but Carter couldn't keep his eyes away from the mirror. All in all honesty, I was now a proud member of Drea's Last Words. I was also the ugliest member of Drea's Last Words.
Who knew the four emos hid their faces because they were freaking beautiful?
