" Are you kids ready?" Gavin asked.
We all nodded and took our seats. The room was very small and I felt claustrophobic, mostly because I was nervous.
Aidan sat beside me, fixing his hair as Carter took the seat to my left. We all sat in silence, worried about messing up or not appealing to the audience, but when out interviewer walked in, we put on the facade that everything was okay.
" We go live in 3-" The countdown began and I subconsciously tapped on the table to which I received dirty looks by the interviewer and others around me.
Aidan sighed and took my hand, placing it on top of his so I tapped on his knuckles instead.
" Good afternoon! This is your host Kevin Woods and I'm here with one of the hottest upcoming bands, Drea's Last Words! Say hi," He said, smiling at us.
" Hey," We said unevenly into our microphones.
" Can you guys introduce yourselves?"
We all looked Aidan.
" I'm Aidan O'dell. I um... Do the screaming."
" Alexia Morgan. I also scream."
" Carter Lloyd. Bass."
" I'm Phillip Saunders, I am the drummer."
" Josh Cartel. Guita- Singer."
There was a small and slightly awkward pause.
" If I recall correctly, you guys started posting videos on YouTube around November right?"
" Uh, yeah," Aidan said. " It wasn't that long ago."
" Would you say your journey happened overnight?" Kevin asked, reading through a piece of paper.
Phillip answered. " Maybe, but it depends on our definitions of overnight. Sometimes things got kind of hazy for us and other times we were on a roll, posting our covers every week," He said.
" Sometimes we failed to upload videos and our subscribers were understanding and okay with that," Carter added.
" What makes Drea's Last Words different from other bands? Why do you guys think people love you so much?" Kevin asked.
We stayed quiet for a while.
" Um," Aidan laughed awkwardly," I guess it'd have to be the fact that we have a girl screaming as well as a guy. Usually when you see a girl in a band she's drumming or she's singing in a very boring pop voice. I guess we're different in that sense."
" Plus the guys are really cute," I added, making Kevin chuckle.
" As the only girl in the band, how do you feel traveling with four guys? Are there any fights? Drama? Have you broken any hearts?"
" Um," I looked at Josh, wondering what was acceptable to say here. " Well... I don't really know, I guess there's no fights, only when we're playing around. As for drama, there is none, we all understand each other a lot."
" And heartbreaks? I hear you and Josh are over," He asked. " And it seems like something's going on between you and the frontman."
Josh answered this time. " We broke up because we wanted to put the band first," He lied. " But we're still close."
Awkward eye contact.
" Alright, looks like it's time for a break. When we come back, Drea's Last Words will be answering your questions using the hashtag-"
While Kevin talked, Josh's phone vibrated and he checked his message. He looked at us with a worried expression before leaving.
" What just happened?" Carter mouthed.
We all shrugged but I had a feeling his parents had finally notified him that Drea was missing again.
