chapter 32 (R)

Wild laughs continued to flow out of me as I failed to wiggle out of Lee's tight hold.  Most of Lee's body weighed down on me, he used this to his advantage as he tickled me relentlessly with pure enjoyment on his face. 

"Okay!  Okay, I'll do it!" I finished my fit of giggles and Lee pulled me up with a smile.

"See?  I knew you'd see it my way." I rolled my eyes and laughed as Lee pulled me to sit on his lap.

"I'll play the darn game, but you have to play Just Dance with me tomorrow." 

"Gladly, I'll whoop you in '7 Rings' anytime." I scoffed and pushed Lee's shoulder.

"Nah, we're playing Just Dance 2014 and we're doing 'Where Have You Been.'"

Lee sucked his teeth and looked down at me.

"You know I can't bend like that."

"Figure it out," I kissed Lee and looked down at his controller, "Now teach me how to play this game so we can bond." 

Lee says I complain about him playing his videogames and not giving me attention too much, so he's determined to teach me how to play his favorite game so I can get my attention through playing with him.  I don't know how that'll work out, but the game looks fun enough.

He sat the gold DualShock controller in my hands and resumed the videogame.

The sight of the court is already overwhelming me, I don't even like regular basketball.  There's always too much going on.

"Aight, move this stick to walk and press the button back here to sprint." I watched Lee's fingers, then copied them and successfully ran around the court.

"Wait, my guy has the ball?  I don't want it, how do I pass it to my teammate?"

"Don't pass it to that lame, you're better off shooting it yourself," Lee glanced at the screen, then back to my hands on the controller, "I already won most of the game, hold this button." 

I held the square button while Lee pushed the joystick up.  My player shot the ball into the basket and the game ended with my team being victorious.

"Look, mama, you did it." I clapped and draped my arms around Lee's neck.

"Yes, I did, all by myself."  

"The cap is extravagant." Lee leaned in for a kiss and I beat him to it.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the time I'm spending with my boyfriend.  It feels safe and refreshing, especially after being deprived of it for so long.  Lee and I realized that we needed to devote more time to each other if we want our relationship to continue healthily.  Our past schedules weren't working, so we tweaked them a bit and dedicated Sundays to our relationship. 

No outside problems, drama, or stressing responsibilities.  Just us for a day.

Scampi slid into the living room and barked twice, indicating that he wanted to be picked up.  I held the small dog in the air and played with his fur.

"There goes my little baby." I massaged the special spot behind Scampi's ear and sucked my teeth when Lee stole him from me. 

Lee and I make sure we never neglect Scampi, no matter how busy or stressed we are.  We truly love this dog as if he were our son. 

"You mean my s-"

"If you call my baby your 'seed' again I won't understand, Lee." 

Lee leaned into the couch and laughed without letting Scampi go.
