Winter Break

Chapter 8

Ryan's P.O.V

Now Kate's it. This should be good. Lucy and I get to one side while she goes to the other side of the pool.

"Ready set go!" She calls quickly already swimming toward us.

I quickly move away from her and swim away. I see she catches Lucy already who is irritated that she lost again. Now it's just Kate and I. I move quickly trying to find the railing diving in when I see it.

As I'm about to reach it I feel her pounce on me pulling me down with her. She koala wraps around my body and doesn't let go as I rise up. She lets go.

"That didn't take long. Faster than when you caught me," she said flipping back her wet hair.

I roll my eyes. "Can we go in the hot tub now?"

Kate nods.

I swim out first and then I hear a squeal from behind me. I know that squeal. Heard it so many times before. Okay that sounded so wrong. Maybe it didn't. Kate's right I do have a dirty mind. We all do, that's one thing that makes us best friends.

I turn around before stepping in. "What happened?"

"I got her," Lucy smiles pleased for catching Kate. "Your next."

"Good luck with that," I say stepping into the hot bubbly water.

Kate and Lucy follow. We all take a deep breath, exhale, and relax.

"See isn't this so relaxing?" I ask.

They both nod having their eyes closed. I do the same.

We get back to our rooms and I quickly hit the shower. It's great being the guy in this group because when we go on vacation, I get my own hotel room. Which is pretty sweet if I say so myself.

When I get out I see Lucy and Kate already dressed in their exercise outfits.

"We're not going to the gym are we?" I ask afraid.

"No, we're gonna play some tennis. Well more like hitting the ball back and fourth," Kate says. "Put on something comfy."

"I'll go get my yoga pants," I wink.

Lucy scrunches up her nose.

"Ya nasty," Kate does the same.

I laugh and go to my bag to grab some sporting clothes.

We walk to the inside courts and Kate tells us to stay on one side while she will pass the balls to us.

"How long are we gonna stay here?" I ask.

"Till lunch," Kate answers.

We play for a while. Kate teaching us somethings but we just pass the ball back and forth.

After lunch we take a break and I text my parents telling them I miss and love them.

"So what are we gonna do next?" Lucy asks.

I shrug. "Any ideas?"

"We should go to the spa," Lucy suggests.

"Ooh yeah. We should," Kate says looking up from her phone.

"Then snowboarding?"

"Then it will get dark," Kate laughs.

"Are we ever going to go snowboarding? I still have to teach you guys," I whine.

"We will, tomorrow," Kate says.

"Ugh fine."

"Cheer up Ryan. The spa will be fun," Lucy says.

"Your just saying that cuz your a girl."

"So are you," Kate laughs.

"Ha. Wanna bet? You can check yourselves."

"Noo thank you," Lucy backs away.

I laugh.

"Ya nasty," Kate says.

"You love saying that don't you?" I ask.

Kate nods.

We head down to the lobby for a spa. I've never been to a spa or gotten a spa treatment before. This should be an interesting experience.
