Chapter 18

Ryan's P.O.V

"So where are we going?" I ask Rainstorm.

"You like food right?"

"Do you like breathing?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Of course," she laughs.

"Then thats my answer," I say.

She laughs again. "Your really funny Ryan."

"Thanks."

"Um Ryan?"

"Yeah?"

She hesitates for a second. "Do you want to- do you mind if we- um hold hands?"

"Sure," I smile.

She beams and quickly intertwines our fingers.

I look around me as Rainstorm leads us somewhere to eat. I see how everything is so full of color and its all unique, not one dull thing here. Then Rainstorm stops in front of a place thats orange and in big white letters it says "PIZZA PIZZA". She leads us in and we get a booth.

"What type of pizzas do you have here?" I ask.

"Anything you want on it."

"Can I have everything on it?" I smile.

Rainstorms giggles. "Of course!"

She orders our pizza and then turns her attention back to me.

"So," I say crossing my hands on the table. "Tell me about yourself."

She smiles and does the same so our faces our leaning in to one another. "Well, I was born here. My parents are part of the group. Oh I forgot to tell you, the group name is Z.P.F. Zeon protective force. Its really fun too. Um, thats about it really."

"Nothing from your childhood?" I ask curious.

She shakes her head. "Nothing else to tell."

I feel like theres more to tell then that but before I can ask the waiter brings us our pizza and we take a slice.

"So what about you?" Rainstorm asks taking a bite of the pizza.

For some reason I don't feel like I should tell Rainstorm everything since she didn't tell me hers, like she is hiding something. So I just say something basic.

"Well I came from another planet. My parents have regular jobs I guess, and me well I always have something going on, especially with Kate and Lucy."

"Whats the most interesting thing that happened to you?"

"Well coming here actually."

"How did you get here?" She asks curious.

"Kate found a glowing door and she showed Lucy and I then we just stepped through it, came to a planet we don't know, and then met you," I smile.

Rainstorm smiles back holding her head on top of her hands. "So what about that girl Kate? You two seem pretty close."

"All three of us are."

"Yeah but you and Kate- bicker a lot, I should say."

"Yeah thats just how we are," I laugh. "Even though we argue over a lot of things, she is still my best friend and I love her a lot."

"You love her?" Rainstorms eyes widen but then narrow. "How come?"

"Like a sister," I quickly say. "She's like a sister to me, nothing more."

"How come you love her?" Rainstorm asks.

Is she jealous? No she can't be.

"Well she's been there for me and we've been through a lot together."

She frowns.

I don't like to see her hurt, for anyone to hurt. Unless you know they cross me, then I enjoy watching them as I crush their skulls with my feet. I search for words to say.

"But, I mean I love Lucy too. Both of them are my sisters." I take Rainstorms hand in mine and she looks up at me. "But I like you," I smile.

I kinda do, I mean I don't know really know her but maybe I will actually like like her.

She smiles and I'm happy.

"Wanna go take a walk in the park?"

"Sure," I smile at her.

We get up and she leads us to the park hand in hand. I look around at the dark green trees, the well cut grass, and a pond that has the clearest water ever.

Its not that really different from Earth, just more exotic and cleaner.

We walk in silence for a while following the yellow path around the park. Ha, follow the yellow brick road. I wonder if Rainstorm has ever seem the movie. Do they even have a Wizard of Oz movie here?

"Ryan," I hear my name being called and I look over to Rainstorm looking at me worried. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, sorry. I was just in my own thoughts."

"Oh okay. I was going to ask you, when you met me, were you happy that you did?"

"Yeah, I was happy. You seem like a cool alien girl and I'm glad I got to know you."

She stops and turns to face me. "Really?" Her eyes sparkle.

"Yeah," I say.

Just then she leans in and kisses me.

She kissed me. I kissed an alien. I am kissing an alien under a dark green leafy tree on a yellow path on the planet Zeon.
