Chapter 17

Lucy's P.O.V

I think its sweet that Rainstorm likes Ryan and they are going on a date. Soon as they left Kate and I decided to look around this planet and see what we can find. I have no idea where we're going. We are probably gonna get lost and need to call Ryan to pick us up with Rainstorm. Kate and I have been walking around for a while that my feet started to hurt.

"So when are we planning to take a resting break?" I ask.

"Hang on. I think I hear a waterfall, lets just go a little further," Kate says without looking back or stopping.

I roll my eyes but keep walking with her.

"You think Ryan's having a good time?" I ask.

"Yeah, but honestly Rainstorm seemed a little too perky, but she really seemed to like Ryan so why not? Its not everyday someone gets to go on a date with an alien you know?" Kate laughs.

I laugh. "Yeah."

Kate pulls back a huge leaf and I look whats before me in awe. Theres green grass that covers the ground like a carpet, and it looks so shiny and smooth under the sun. Along with the rocks in a circle surrounding the bottom of a big waterfall with other bigger rocks along the waterfall. The trees, the same color as the grass, sway back in forth.

Its breath taking.

"Wow," I say aloud.

"I know."

We stand there for a minute admiring the beautiful view when someone interrupts.

"Hi."

I look up to see a pink alien with hot pink hair pulled back in a high pony tail and a jumpsuit with white lines.

"Hi," Kate smiles. "Im sorry is this your property? We didn't mean to intrude."

The alien shakes her head. "No your fine. I wanted someone to join me in the waterfall anyways. Would you two like to?"

Kate looks at me and I nod. "Whatever you want to do."

"Sure," Kate says looking back at the girl and she smiles.

Everyone is so nice here. We really need more people like this in our planet.

"Do we just take off our-" I don't finish because the alien zips off her jumpsuit with a white bikini underneath.

She looks at us.

"We don't have a bathing suit under our jumpsuits," I say.

"Oh okay well then you can borrow mine," she says and we follow her.

"I'm Rode by the way," she says as we approach a small house.

"I'm Kate and this is my best friend Lucy."

"Those are some interesting names," Rode says.

"Yeah."

She walks us to what must be her bedroom and pulls out a couple pairs of bikinis all strapless like hers expect different designs.

"Take your pick," she says motioning to her bathing suits.

"Ooh I'll take the hot pink one with the white poco dots," I smile reaching for it.

She smiles at me. "Nice choice."

"Thank you," I smile back.

"I'll have the blue one with the black stripes on it."

We both go into the bathroom Rode showed us to change in while she waited for us.

"She seems nice," Kate comments.

"They are all nice."

"I know but she just seems different, less preppy I guess, more real- I don't know," Kate sighs.

I shrug and we walk out.

Kate's P.O.V

Rode seems really nice, I like her. She leads us out to the waterfall and we dip in enjoying the cool water.

We sit there in comfortable silence until I hear someone.

"Hey Rode what's- who are these people?" A male voice asks.

I open my eyes and look at where Rode is looking up at. I shield my eyes to see whats in front of me. A muscular tall blue guy who is looking down at us. Then he squats and I see be has flippy dark blue mixed with a little white hair.

"Hey Miles. This is Lucy," she points to her.

"Hey Lucy," he waves to her.

She smiles and waves back.

"And this is Kate," she points to me and I wave.

"Hey Kate," he smiles and I can feel my stomach twisting and turning.

Oh come on Kate! Pull yourself together! Well he is the cutest alien I have ever seen, that is- I've only seem a couple and they were girls or some other aliens that where walking around- but still!

"Mind if I join you?" He asks but still looking at me.

I see Rode look at us and motions with her hands. "Be my guest."

He slides into the waterfall and now we are all sitting together.

I look at my best friend who is making a you-so-have-a-crush-on-this-alien-guy face and I give her my look. Then I turn to Miles and he smiles and I smile shyly back.
