Chapter 24

Kate's P.O.V

Rode and Miles saved us. Along with the other Zeon forces. Now the golden leader, Lord Sky, is standing before us.

"You want to know why they captured you correct?" He asks looking at all of us.

We all nod.

"Well you three are the chosen ones."

"Chosen ones?" Ryan repeats.

"Yes."

"What does that mean?" Lucy asks.

"Long ago there where three best friends and they were inseparable. A connection so grand they were like family. Though what was different about them was that they had powers. Great powers. We waited for the chosen ones to come but they never did. No one saw the golden door."

My stomach turned.

"Though when you three arrived Rainstorm being clever and sneaky, she had a feeling you three were it. She was going to take one of you," he looks at Ryan, "to fall for her. So you two could be together and rule together with your great powers.

"What about the other two with powers?" I ask.

"Servants most likely."

"Well," Lucy mumbled under her breath.

"Though we don't have any powers," Ryan states.

"Not yet. To prove that you are what the prophecy says, you must do what I say," Lord Sky informs.

He turns around and walks out of the room and we follow. We are all silent as we walk out onto the desert plain again.

Lord Sky motions for us to stand in a circle. We do as we are told and wait for what he says next.

"Hold hands and close your eyes."

I take Lucy's and Ryan's hand in mine and close my eyes.

"Now think of all the things you have been through together, really think about it."

I think about the first time we met, the first time we all hanged out. How we were awkward at first but got so close.

All the inside jokes, laughs, tears, everything. Every detail from the beginning, when it all started. On how Lucy, Ryan, and I became best friends and how much I love them.

"Open your eyes," Sky Lord says his voice cracking.
