Kate's P.O.V
I slowly open my eyes and try to stand up but I feel so weak. My eyes scan around the room I'm in and they land on Lucy. I can see her chest rise and fall but she isn't moving. She's just unconscious. That's good. I look around for Rode, Miles, or even Cloud. Then my eyes land on a red figure with purple hair. She's working at a computer.
With all my might I try to stand up. After several tries I finally stand up straight. I look around again to spot Ryan. He is lying motionless on the ground like my other best friend.
"What did you do to them Rainstorm?" I ask my voice weak as my whole body.
She turns around. "Do to who?" Her red eyes flashing.
"Ryan and Lucy," I hiss.
"Nothing that concerns you."
"They are my best friends. Of course it does."
"Getting into other people's business again Kate?" I hear someone from behind me.
I turn around and see Cloud making his way toward me.
My eyes narrow. "I knew there was something fishy about you."
He let out a laugh that sent chills down my spine.
"What have you done to Rode and Miles?" I ask.
Rainstorm shakes her head. "You should really stop asking questions."
"Maybe if you gave me some answers I might stop," I spit.
Lucy's P.O.V
I turn over on my side and I let out a whimper. Everything hurts. The last thing I remember was being shot and Kate running after me.
Where is Kate? Where is Ryan?
I try to look around but my vision is blurry a little. I blink a couple of times and see Kate standing in front of Rainstorm and Cloud.
Where is Ryan?
I let out a moan as I try to stand. I look around my body excepting to see blood everywhere but see none. I try to stand and when I do I wobble a little.
"It seems your friend is up," Cloud says looking over at me.
Kate whips around and runs toward me.
"Are you okay?" Kate asks looking me over.
"Y-yeah, I think so. Are you?" My voice is shaky.
"Yeah. I think so."
"What have you done with Ryan?" I snap.
"Kate already asked that," Rainstorm rolled her eyes. "Why are you so worried about him?"
"He's our best friend!" I want to yell but my voice only cracked.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Cloud yawns.
Clearly they are not going to tell us anything.
"Where is Rode and Miles?" I whisper to Kate.
"I don't know."
"Now, we can't have you wondering around and escape," Cloud says coming toward us with rope and duck tape.
"Don't make this hard for us," Rainstorm says walking after Cloud.
