(Or chapter 11.2)

I got dressed in my blue dungarees and let my hair down so it was curly and really out there. I was going to wear my hat, but for tonight I was going to ditch it. I was prepared to be laughed at by Cartman. That reminded me, he hasn't come out of my mothers room since we got in. He was probably embarrassed by the show earlier.

I walked out of my room and knocked on the door to no response. I opened it to him in a tuxedo with smart looking hair. He looked somewhat handsome.

"Hey glow up." I said as I poked at his face playfully. He knocked my hands down and held them by my wrists. He gazed into my eyes and shook his head softly.

"Shush." He spoke then ran his fingers through my hair. "Nice jewfro." I nudged him away as he released my wrists. "Are you ready? Our tables going to be done in 15 minutes."

"Yeah I'm just..does my hair really look stupid?" He looked surprised at my worried and sad face. I was so insecure about it that I didn't know how to act sometimes. He towered over me and hugged me softly, my face buried into his shoulder.

"I think it's the best ginger afro I've ever seen. You just need a little trim."

"I know..I've just been so busy with random stuff and it's been left out of the question." He let me go, looking a bit sad himself as the cold rushed to our bodies again. "Um..could I have another hug?" I asked and he looked weirdly at me. He shrugged then took me into a deeper, tighter embrace, slowly rocking side to side.

"Come on, let's go. I'm starving." He then kind of pushed me away in some way, growing pink. I brushed it off and followed him outside to walk to the restaurant. We watched how Liane sadly argued with the man John inside, also glimpsing at us. "She's fine. He's probably just moaning about me again."

"Right..yeah."

"You okay?"

"Yeah I'm just..I don't know. She's got such a hard life because of income; I've heard. I know she's working a lot, as much as she can. But you know she loves you right? It doesn't take a blind person to see that."

"You think?"

"Mhmm."

"I just have another way of showing it I guess." He slung his arm around me, pulling me closer. I looked back to see Liane smiling and waving at me. I waved back, having my hand tugged down by Cartman.

As we arrived at the restaurant, a woman took us in and got us seated at our table. It looked very nice, with Japanese art on the walls, even one of Tweek and Craig when everyone was obsessed with them. Speaking of them, I could see them at a table, eating some salmon dish.

I caught eyes with Tweek and looked towards Cartman, who was scanning his menu. He looked up at me and rose an eyebrow. "Like what you see?" He joked, winking.

"No, uh, Tweek and Craig are over there. I just don't want them to think we're dating."

"Oh, that makes sense. Just act casual and blend in."

"I think you forgot that I'm literally the only ginger in this room."

"So? There are many daywalkers in the world."

"Ugh you're so pathetic." He took my hand and kissed it jokingly. "Ew you bitch!" I whispered and took my hand back. He could tell that I was only joking when I said it that way because I wasn't lashing out and shouting, but I could see him go red. "You know I didn't mean that, right? It's just that I-"

"I know you were joking I just..I need to go to the bathroom."

"Oh, okay." I buried my face in the menu, overlooking everything for the 5th time. He came back sooner than I expected, waving over a waiter. We ordered a 'buffet for two' as they called it and were greeted by a selection of fish and noodles.

I took the first bite of it, as if it might be poisonous. I nodded then he dug in, getting a bit of everything. We joked around for a good half an hour before soft music started playing and once one couple was up and dancing, everyone was up. We were the only ones sitting down, apart from the little kids of course.

I rested my chin on the back of my hand and continued eating though I was full. Cartman stood up and walked off without any words, so I just sat there; like an idiot. He returned with a rose in his pocket, looking dumb and nervous. He offered his hand to me, so I took it dumbly.

I was too lost in his eyes to think of anyone watching, even the thought of Craig and Tweek seeing drifted out of my mind. I was enjoying myself, like I did at the party. With him. With Cartman, like usual.
