20. Summer

Autumn's p.o.v.

I walked to the Hall, my body feeling especially light again. I awoke to a great mood today, humming cheerfully as I approached Will. It was the summer holidays already! 

"Morning!" I greeted cheerfully, kissing him lightly. The Ombrelune table stared at me but turned away as soon as I glared at them.

"So, any plans for the summer?" He asked me.

"Guess I'll be spending it with my family." I perked up at the mention of James. I smiled like an idiot, feeling as if all my worries have been dispersed.

"How about we meet up during summer? I could come to your place!" He suggested. My heart leapt at that thought and pulled his face closer to kiss him. The other girls gasped almost too loudly and I snapped. "What? Never seen people kiss before?"

They talked in hushed voices around us but I didn't even care. I was with Will and he was all that mattered.

"Autumn, we need to talk to you." They interrupted me as I clambered onto Will's lap. Growling, I told them. "Make it fast, Will darling's waiting for me."

Rose's p.o.v.

 "Aut, what's with asking Will to stay with you? It's crazy! He might..." I said, my voice going higher and higher with my anger.

"Will's my boyfriend, Rose! I love him so much, why can't he spend the summer with me? Merlin, I'll die of misery if we're ever parted." She said. I remained silent in astonishment.

"Are you guys going to Autumn's place?" Ro asked after a few seconds.

"Yeah, I am, the week before school starts." Haz replied as I told them I'm gonna spend the whole summer with Lily.

"Well, at least I'm spending the whole summer with you, Aut. You'll be safe, I can assure you that." Ro said.

"Well, you guys are absurd! Well, I'm gonna find Will now." She skipped away, humming delightedly. 

We clambered onto the carriages without any sign of Autumn. Where in hell is she? That was exasperating!

"Calm down, she must be with Will! He won't do anything with everyone around." Haz assured me seeing my worried look but my head was filled with all kinds of wild possibilities.

"Hey girls! Blaze came with Mum's note saying Will can stay with us if he likes! Isn't this great?" Autumn suddenly poked her head in.

"Umm, that's awesome!" I forced a smile. "Want to sit with us?"

"Sorry but I have to find Will. See you on the platform!" She waved.

"Wait, Autumn! Haz is coming on the last week of summer and Rose's not coming. Only I'll come to your place today." Ro reminded her again.

"Alright, I remember!" She said and raced out.

"Something's really wrong, and Will's coming for the summer too. I'm worried." Ro confessed.

"Me too but you're staying with them so keep an eye on Aut and Will." I sighed. What in the world is wrong with my friend? We separated on the platform and bid each other goodbye. I snuck a close look at Autumn, only to find her head full of thoughts about Will. This isn't normal at all, an ordinary person wouldn't have their heads focused solely on one person! Shaking my head, I embraced her goodbye.

"Remember to write! About you and Will!" I said in forced cheeriness.

"Of course! And all the juicy details!" She winked, linking her arm through Will's.

"Now quit the intimacy or we'll be staying here forever." Ro joked and they disappeared through the protective barrier.
